At that time, the principal of this middle school was Zhang Xiuyan, a student of Li Dazhao, and it was under the influence of such an excellent revolutionary that Xue Ming began to participate in various revolutionary activities organized by the school, and at the age of 20, she joined the Chinese Middle Class Party.
At this time, the all-out anti-Japanese front had not yet been opened, many of the Communist Party's actions were still carried out underground, and Xue Ming's initial job was to serve as a liaison officer for the underground party, but as the Japanese army invaded gradually deepened.
Xue Ming joined the "Tianjin Exiled Students' Southward Anti-Japanese Petition Group" organized by the party organization, and together with 17 student party members, he pooled a small amount of funds and distributed leaflets all the way south, calling on the people to unite and jointly resist Japan.
Xue Ming went to Nanjing with the organization, and then to Shanghai, and after the fall of Shanghai, she came to Jiangxi to work for a year, and with the approval of the organization, she came to Yan'an.
In 1941, she met He Long, who was already in a high position, and Xue Ming was very respectful when he faced him, but he was still nervous and reserved.
He Long was missing a person around at that time, Xue Ming's experience made him very interested, so he asked the people around him to ask Xue Ming's opinion, at that time Xue Ming only had a respectful heart for He Long, as for wanting to talk about marriage with him, Xue Ming did not have such a thought.
He Long did not insist on it again, until one time it rained heavily, Xue Ming was trapped in the mud and could not pull out his feet, He Long's powerful arm pulled Xue Ming up, and He Long's tall figure was imprinted in Xue Ming's heart from then on.
Not long after, Xue Ming and He Long were married, and at that time, they did not have time to spend the previous month in love, but two down-to-earth people came together. Then, on the way to continue the revolution, they raised their children and went down their lives.
Pay silently
Although it is very appropriate for the two to walk together in any way, one is a rough man and the other is a gentle girl, and at the beginning, the two can not avoid running in.
Fortunately, both of them can accommodate some of each other's small shortcomings, and the days will pass smoothly.
In 1937, Mao Zedong once commented on He Long: "There are three things in He Laozong: First, resolutely struggle against the enemy; The second is loyalty to the party; The third is to maintain ties with the masses. ”
Just as Mao Zedong commented, Marshal He Long's revolutionary and glorious life showed the lofty style of serving the party and all loyalty to the party, the lofty demeanor of serving the people wholeheartedly, and the superb art of fighting against the enemy. His noble character was admired by future generations.
After the founding of New China, although there was no war, he Long, as one of the founding marshals, had a heavier burden on his shoulders, and Xue Ming adhered to the principle of not disturbing He Long's work, trying to make He Long more comfortable in life, and also trying to let the staff around He Long coordinate various matters well and not add trouble to He Long.
For example, Xue Ming would write down He Long's diabetes situation on paper and put it in his office so that he could communicate with the staff around He Long at any time to understand his situation, and after He Long returned home every night after work.
No matter how late he got up to cook, he also asked He Long's secretary to tell He Long the contents of his work verbally so that he could handle the documents while walking.
The little bits of work behind these may seem to be nothing, but in fact, it takes a lot of mental effort to complete, and there is almost no time to stop.
There is a saying that "behind every successful man there is a woman who pays silently", which is probably a couple like He Long and Xue Ming.
Scattered everywhere
Among these children, He Long's eldest son, He Pengfei, is relatively old, he is 21 years old at this time, And He Pengfei, like his father He Long, has an untamed personality.
When He Pengfei was born, He Long was already more than half a hundred years old, and Chairman Mao had come to congratulate Long Lao on his son, but He Long did not spoil his son because of such joy, but he was very strict with his children.
Once, He Pengfei broke his leg while playing soccer, and He Long only let his son rest for a week before letting him continue to go to school, and did not let him take his own car to go to school, but let him take a rickshaw by himself.
He Long himself grew up from poverty, and experienced decades of war, leading the army to suffer an unknown amount of hardships, his tenacious military qualities make him not soft when facing his son, but hope that his son can accept some tempering, in order to better walk on the road of life.
He Long also set a strict rule for the children: he was never allowed to ask the school for any extra care under his own banner, and whoever did such a thing, the whole family would despise him and criticize him. It is precisely because of his strict requirements that his children have become the pillars of the country.
In 1969, He Long, one of the founding marshals who had fought all his life and participated in the establishment of the Communist Party of China and the People's Republic of China, died at the age of 73 in the third year of house arrest in Xishan because he could not get timely medical treatment for a fever attack.
Be loyal to the country and bow down to the best of your ability
In the last months of his life, He Long wrote many letters to the children.
He told the children that in the war-torn years they had all come, and that the ups and downs of the revolution were even more difficult to endure, and these were all the experiences on the road of life, and no matter what happened, following the party to carry out the revolution was the mission of a Chinese communist, and it would not be wrong.
These letters were received by He Pengfei and his sisters after the death of He Long, who devoted his life to the great proletarian revolution, and what he left to his children was a tall monument inscribed with his earnest teachings as a father and his glorious deeds as a Chinese communist.
In the long-term fatigue and rush, He Pengfei's body was devastated by years and months.
Later, He Pengfei worked as a worker in the Wuwei Repair Automobile Factory in Gansu Province, and later worked at the Beijing Machinery Import and Export Company. During this period, he met and married Feng Lu, the daughter of the former deputy director of the Beijing Municipal Public Security Bureau and a company information officer, and then gave birth to two daughters, one called "Jiajia" and the other called "Beibei", which together are a congratulatory word.
In September 1988, Deng Xiaoping signed an order awarding major general He Pengfei, 44, the youngest major general in China. In 1992, He Pengfei became deputy commander of the Navy, returning to the naval camp he loved deeply.
In 1996, on the centenary day of Marshal He Long's birth, He Pengfei attended the unveiling ceremony of the bronze statue of He Long in Honghu Lake, and the veteran who had followed He Long to fight the white bandits said that He Pengfei was very similar to his father He Long.
Honghu Lake is the second hometown of He Long, and the bronze statue of He Long is erected by the Honghu Lake, which satisfies He Long's worries and concerns about this revolutionary land before his death.
When visiting the "Great Wall on the Water" surrounded by fish farming on Honghu Lake, He Pengfei lamented "What a good water!" ”
He looked at this body of water and thought for a long time, saying: "This lake, like a spark that once lit the torch of revolution, has now become a cash cow." "Because of the adjustment of the aquatic product structure of Honghu Lake, the annual income of the fishermen here has become very impressive, and the people's life has finally improved."
Before leaving, He Pengfei also wanted to see the bronze statue of his father He Long, and the group returned to the Martyrs' Cemetery, He Pengfei stood in front of the bronze statue of He Long, carefully looking at the tall bronze statue, as if to coincide with the strict and loving father image in his memory, and finally, He Pengfei nodded with satisfaction and said: "It's okay!" ”
Due to years of suffering, He Pengfei's body had many heavy blows, and then he was overloaded with selfless work for a long time, and He Pengfei died in 2001.
When Xue Ming, as a mother, attended her son's funeral, she said in pain in front of her son's body: "Son, we have all come to send you, you go first." Your children are all right, rest assured, goodbye. "Everyone present wept.
This is a white-haired person sending a black-haired person! However, Xue Ming did not fall, she adhered to the habit of He Long with her before he died, walked in the courtyard for an hour a day, and often engaged in some sports activities, and served as the first director of the National Sports Commission.
Whenever she walked to the 300-year-old elm tree in front of the door, which had undergone great changes, she had to stop and talk to the old elm tree, and pin her thoughts on He Long and He Pengfei.
