On June 26, 1900, Archduke Ferdinand, Crown Prince of Austria-Hungary, at a secret cabinet meeting of the Habsburgs, solemnly promised the old Emperor Franz Joseph I, the Hungarian high-ranking and the high-ranking Víanas that he and Sophia's descendants and descendants would permanently renounce the right to inherit the throne, and the corresponding Habsburgs would agree to marry his servant Sophia.

On 28 June, Ferdinand finally married Sophia, but few people knew the hardships. Sophia was originally a descendant of the nobility, but unfortunately the family fell in the middle of the road, and when she became an adult, she could only become a maid of the noble family, but it was such a maid who was loved by Archduke Ferdinand, Crown Prince of austria-Hungary.

Ferdinand and Sophia met at a banquet, and later Ferdinand became deeply fascinated by the maid, often going to the nobleman's home to visit the maid, but the fire could not hold the paper after all, and the old emperor Franz Joseph I, who learned of this, found Ferdinand in a rage, claiming that he would never want to marry Sophia.

In fact, Ferdinand is the nephew of Franz Joseph I, because the old emperor's children died backwards, so the throne fell to Ferdinand's head, but the relationship between the old emperor and his nephew was particularly stiff, and after learning about this matter, not only the old emperor, almost everyone in the Austro-Hungarian Empire did not look forward to this relationship.

However, in this case, Ferdinand succeeded in marrying Sophia at the expense of the inheritance of his descendants, and even on the day of the wedding, except for Ferdinand's mother and sisters, none of the important members of the Habsburg dynasty attended, and even though Sophia was snubbed and harassed by everyone, the two were still very happy, because their marriage was not mixed with any political factors.

Until June 28, 1914, on the occasion of their 14th wedding anniversary, a gunshot in Sarajevo killed both Ferdinand and his wife, which may have been a blessing in disguise for both of them.
