In 2016, Rita Gavio, a 13-year-old Filipino girl, had to work as a street beggar in the town of Lukeban because of her family's poverty.

However, because of a chance, her life was changed dramatically.

Six years later, Rita became a professional model, and is also known as an internet celebrity with millions of followers.

Rita's story begins in the town of Lukeban. At the time, the poor girl was begging on the streets to help her family earn a living. Her father is a garbage collector and her mother stays home to care for her and 5 other siblings.

Because the family was destitute, she and her siblings did not go to school, and the family starved every day. So, to help her parents, Rita often goes out and asks people for change or leftovers.

On that day in May 2016, the girl happened to be in the footage of Filipino photographer Topher Quinto Burgos while he was attending the Pahiyas Festival in Lukeban.

Burgos was attracted to the girl's natural and pure beauty, but what attracted him even more was the sadness in the girl's eyes.

Burgos then posted the photos on the internet, and unexpectedly, the photos quickly spread on social media sites.

Celebrities such as Miss World Philippines 2015, Miss Philippines International 2014 and Miss Earth 2015 have retweeted the photos on social media to praise Rita's model-like figure and beauty.

Since then, Rita has received enthusiastic attention from the Philippine media. Her life and family situation have unsurprisingly received many sympathies from many people, and also attracted the help of many benefactors.

Since then, Rita has become a sought-after influencer in the Philippines, with more than 200,000 followers on Instagram.

Of course, Rita's success changed the lives of her family.

In 2018, Rita posted a video on YouTube showing her new home that she worked hard to earn money to buy. Her siblings went to school every day and lived richer and happier lives than ever before. However, despite her fame now, Rita herself still puts her studies first, accepting shows and advertisements only in her free time.

Rita Gaviola proved that Cinderella-esque stories are possible in real life. But this Cinderella did not rely entirely on the prince, but more on her own efforts.

In early August, the news that Rita, as young as 19, announced that she was a mother once again surprised fans. But about her husband's information, Rita kept it a secret from her and didn't make it public. But judging from the photos she shared, the life of a family of three now makes her feel very happy.

So, the encounter of life is so magical, if Rita did not meet the photographer Burgos that day, did not walk into his lens, maybe she is still the Filipino girl who is struggling at the bottom of the slum, more likely to marry early and have children, and live a lifetime...
