The images were taken by 49-year-old professional photographer Darlene Smith with a Canon 5D Mark IV camera at Great Deaton National Park in Wyoming, USA.
Darlene said: "I observed these bears cross the road in front of me and forage in the fields for about an hour, with rangers on site, pulling the car to a stop and creating a junction where the bears could cross safely. As they crossed the road, they were curious about the orange traffic cone released by the rangers to block traffic, pushed them, and then began to nibble and toss around. The cubs are two years old and are the cubs of Blondie, a grizzly bear in the park. They have recently left their mothers and lived their lives. Grizzly bears can be more than 6 feet tall when standing on their hind legs, with female grizzly bears weighing about 181 kilograms and male grizzly bears weighing about 358 kilograms. They can run at speeds of up to 56 kilometers per hour and have a lifespan of about 20 to 25 years. I like to be able to freeze time at a certain point and remember it later. It's exciting to be able to see wild animals in their natural habitat. I use telephoto lenses so that I can keep a safe distance from the bears without affecting their natural behavior.
