Zhu Anbo, senior analyst of Youlu Think Tank, interpreted the "Carbon Emissions Survey Report for China's Real Estate Enterprises 2022" and interpreted the "Guidelines for The Evaluation of Carbon Neutrality of Real Estate Enterprises".

According to the "China Real Estate Enterprise Carbon Emissions Survey Report 2022", the average carbon emissions of U50 real estate enterprises in 2021 are 131,400 tons, the average carbon emission intensity is 95.23 tons /billion yuan, and the average administrative office carbon emission intensity is 0.043 tons/square meter. Compared with 2021, the total carbon emissions of housing enterprises have declined, but the intensity of turnover of 100 million yuan has increased. In 2022, 7 new housing enterprises participated in carbon disclosure, and only 9 of the top 100 housing enterprises in terms of sales did not have carbon emission data.

As of August this year, carbon-neutral and related bonds had issued a total of 15.88 billion RMB (54.3%), and carbon-neutral bonds became a new channel for housing enterprises to raise funds. In addition, some leading real estate enterprises have launched a dual-carbon layout by investing in new energy (Jinke, Xincheng, Jinmao, Ligao) and actively participating in the construction of the carbon market (Greenland Group).
