Immigration Policy
Passengers entering PNG must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19, except for PNG citizens and passengers under the age of 18. The types of vaccines recognized by PNG include Sinopharm, Kexing, AstraZeneca, Pfizer, Modena, Johnson & Johnson, etc.
Inbound PNG passengers are required to present the following documents upon check-in:
1. Negative nucleic acid test (PCR) certificate within 72 hours before boarding.
2. Electronic health code (enter the https://www.pnghdf.info website to fill in).
3. Vaccination certificate. Children under 5 years of age are exempt from testing.
Inbound passengers are required to undergo rapid testing at the airport upon arrival, and the expenses incurred such as express inspection (350 kina) are at their own expense. Those who have a positive result require nucleic acid testing. Those who have a positive nucleic acid test result shall be isolated and treated in accordance with relevant regulations. Children under 5 years of age are exempt from testing.
Those who have had a positive nucleic acid test experience within 3 months before entering Papua New Guinea are required to provide a non-infectious certificate issued by a qualified medical institution in the place of origin.
