#Childhood Memories on Stamps # One: The "Monster ๐ฆ" in Loch Ness
This Indian Ocean island nation of Maldives ๐ฒ๐ป is not depicted on a prehistoric dinosaur ๐ฆ: a closer look at the upper left corner of the picture reveals the outline of Urquhart Castle (Figure 3), a landmark on the shores of Loch Ness in the northern Scottish ๐ด Highlands.
To be precise, this is a mysterious creature "simulated image" based on thousands of eyewitness reports and dozens of blurry photographs since 1933 (Figure 2), the famous "Loch Ness Monster"!
In the 70s and 90s of the last century, the "Loch Ness Monster" together with the alien spacecraft UFO, the Savage, and the Bermuda Triangle Ghost Ship formed the "Four Mysteries of the World" that terrified but obsessed the teenagers of that era...
In that era without the Internet, the underdeveloped way of information dissemination has created many similar "legends", in a sense, stimulating children's strong interest in understanding the outside world, and also greatly enriching their imagination space...
According to reports, in the past few years, scientists have carefully searched all corners of Loch Ness with advanced sonar detection equipment, but found nothing; What's even more interesting is that since the popularity of mobile phone photography and video, the number of people "witnessing" to the "Loch Ness Monster" has tended to near zero... [Laughing and crying]
Today, the children of that year have long since become adults. The "Water Monster" seems to be stuck in the "legend" stage forever, and only the beautiful Loch Ness has truly become one of scotland's ๐ด most well-known tourist attractions!
