I went to the China Millennium Monument with friends to see the "100 Years of Wuji - Exhibition of Western Modern and Contemporary Art Masters", all the exhibits in this exhibition are from the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art in Italy, with a total valuation of more than 1 billion. Many works of masters of art can be seen, and if you look carefully, you can stay in them for a full day. This exhibition place makes me have an inexplicable sadness, just like in "Dream of the Red Chamber", "all clouds are authors are stupid, who understands the taste". Almost all of the works here are made by painters who are "obsessed with art".
The portrait of Hanka Zabrovska, the focus of one of the exhibitions, is the work of Modigliani. Modigliani's work is characterized by an elongated neck, an oval head, a narrow nose, and a small pout. The most important thing is to paint one eye bright and the other dark, and it looks as if only one eye has been painted. This is done because one has to look outward at the world with one eye and inward with the other. He said, "When I see your soul, I will draw your eyes." Modigliani became a late bloomer and sold all of his studio's work for just £100 in 1919. At the age of 36, Modigliani left this world at such a young age as Raphael, Van Gogh, and Seurat. But his art eventually gained recognition during his lifetime, with dozens of artists, including Picasso, Juan Gris, Diego Rivera, and others attending his funeral in Paris.
Another possibility is the well-known Van Gogh, the Gardener in this exhibition. It is an important work of van Gogh's artistic style in the mature period and one of the most important Van Gogh works in the Italian public collection. In the painting, a stubble-faced gardener stands in a lush garden wearing a sunhat. His expression seemed to be laughing, and it was like he was not laughing, and some art critics believe that this is his work of harmony with life. The work was created in 1889, when Van Gogh was recuperating in a psychiatric hospital due to frequent episodes of mental illness. Less than a year later, Van Gogh shot himself at the age of 37.
