This is also the second time that the Chinese team has won the Asian Cup since 2012.
The two teams played each other in the Brasilia leg of the World Men's Volleyball League in June this year, when the Chinese team lost 1:3. The Japanese team did not send all the main teams in the Asian Cup and lost in the rematch stage, while the Chinese team maintained a full victory before the final.
In the first set, the Chinese team played a scoring climax after falling behind 10:13, and won 17:15. After Japan equalized, the main attacker Yu Yuantai scored two consecutive serves directly to help the Chinese team take the lead. After that, the Chinese team took advantage of the situation to win the first set 25:20.
In the second set, the Chinese team's attack was blocked after the start, and the Japanese team pulled the score away. Veteran Dai Qingyao came off the bench and continued to destroy a pass from the Japanese team with a strong serve to help the Chinese team pull 17:17. Since then, both sides have made multiple serve mistakes, and the more stable Chinese team won the second set 25:23.

In the third set, the score between the two sides was deadlocked until 19:19, the Japanese team made a mistake in the serve, and the Chinese team led 21:19 with a goal from the net. At 24:22, the Chinese team won 25:22 with Yu Yuantai's strong attack.
Wu Sheng, head coach of the Chinese men's volleyball team, said after the game that the Chinese team knew more about the Japanese team, and the players basically implemented the technical and tactical requirements laid out at the preparatory meeting, "so it should be said that from the first inning to the second and third innings, everyone played well."
In the individual awards of the competition, Zhang Jingyin won the title of Most Valuable Player and Best Main Attacker, and Peng Shikun and Zhang Zhejia won the title of Best Secondary Attack.
Zhang Jingyin said that the team came to Thailand from the previous training camp in Serbia to compete, and can still win the Asian Cup under very tired conditions, which is inseparable from the efforts of the entire team.
