A well-meaning woman in California, USA, had previously taken in two orphan cat babies and named them Otter and Bunny respectively, but she soon found that the two babies needed special care due to their physical condition, so she transferred them to Baby Kitten Rescue to raise, hoping that the two meows could grow up healthy!

Caroline Grace, head of Baby Kitten Rescue, said that otters lack a few toes on their front feet, and Bonnie does not have front feet, and each has some health problems such as respiratory diseases, fleas and diarrhea, but it should not be too much of a problem if carefully treated, but Carolyn also noticed that there seems to be some additional differences in the otter's head.

Caroline noticed that the otter's head was somewhat different from that of kittens of the same age, its forehead had something like a cyst, the eyes were more prominent, and after taking antibiotics, the lump did not disappear, so she had to let the veterinarian conduct further examination, and found that the otter had symptoms of hydrocephalus and meningeal bulging, and the protruding place on the forehead was the exposed part of the skull.

But because the otter is still too young, it will not be possible to undergo an MRI examination until 6 months old, and the skull surgery can only be performed at the age of 1, so Caroline had to paste a small ok jump on the otter's forehead to protect its brain, and Caroline's friends also helped the otter make a special "helmet" to protect the head while it was playing, and also made the otter look even more cute!

Despite being born with some flaws, the otter is still full of energy every day and enjoys exploring every corner of the house, while Bonnie prefers to observe first, and it is not willing to try new things until the otter is safe first. As an older brother, Otter usually cares about Bonnie very much, because there is no front foot, Bonnie can only use the back foot to walk, and the otter often accompanies her sister to stand only on the back foot!

I hope that after the otter grows up a little longer, it can be operated on smoothly and recovered, but the appearance of jumping and wearing a helmet is also quite cute!

Although Otters and Bonnie are not born the same as ordinary cats, it is really touching to see them all so strong and hard to survive, slowly grow and thrive, and I hope that both brothers and sisters can successfully find a new home forever! #夏日成长计划 #
