@Kopite7kimi just shared a specification update related to Nvidia's GeForce RTX 4070 graphics card on Twitter. It is speculated that this product has 7680 CUDA cores, with 12GB of GDDR6X memory, TBP power consumption of 300W, and 3DMark running score is comparable to the previous generation flagship RTX 3090 Ti.
Earlier @Kopite7kimi had exposed the legendary RTX 4070 Ti specifications, but the new revelations can already be directly applied to the RTX 4070 - with the same number of CUDA cores/memory, but the TGP power consumption is much lower.
Previously reported, the RTX 4070 or the 'full blood' AD104 GPU core with 60 SM units / 7680 CUDA cores, supplemented by 48MB L2 cache / 160 ROP raster units.
Compared to the RTX 3070 Ti with GA104 GPU cores, the number of cores has increased by 25% and the cache has exploded by 12 times.
Although the GPU frequency has not yet been determined, given the adoption of TSMC's 4N process (skipping 7nm and going straight to 5nm), we expect the AD104 to be available between 2.0 and 3.0 GHz.
For reference, the previous generation of Ampere GPUs used Samsung's 8nm process, but it is essentially only a partial optimization based on 10nm process nodes.
In terms of memory, the RTX 4070 is expected to be paired with 192-bit @ 12GB of 21Gbps GDDR6X granules.
In terms of power consumption, the nominal TBP parameter of the RTX 4070 may be lowered from 400W to 300W for the RTX 4070 Ti.
However, this value may come from non-public custom SKUs, founders Editon (public PCB PG141-SKU331) may be between 255 - 285W.
In 3DMark's Time Spy benchmark, the RTX 3070 is expected to achieve a running score of 11,000 – on par with Ampere's flagship RTX 3090 Ti.
As for the other specifications of the RTX 4070, it is also expected to include a variety of modern NV feature sets, such as the latest 4th generation tensor/3rd generation RT cores and the latest NVENC/NVCDEC codecs.
There are also modern RTX graphics card features such as DLSS, Reflex, Broadcast, Resizable-BAR, Freestyle, Ansel, Highlights, Shadowplay, and G-SYNC.

Finally, given that performance is expected to rival the $1999 RTX 3090 Ti, the pricing of the RTX 4070 Series graphics cards is likely to be further increased from the RTX 3070 Series to the $499-$549 range.
