31 tons, worth $1.5 billion! Britain again rejects Venezuela's demand for gold to be shipped back?

Wang Ye said financial news: the results are announced!

Even if your things exist here, they can't be taken away now!

This is no joke, this is the current state of gold in the BoE vault in Venezuela!

Just on Friday (29th), according to Russia Today (RT), the British Supreme Court rejected the request of Venezuelan president Nicolas Maduro to repatriate his country's gold assets.

Britain's High Court rejected the Venezuelan government's request to obtain the country's gold reserves currently held at the Bank of England (Bank of England) worth about $1.5 billion (31 tons).

Just recently, Britain's Supreme Court rejected a recent ruling by Venezuela's supreme court that upheld Venezuela's president, Maduro, for gold to be shipped back from Britain.

However, the British side said that it only recognized Juan Guaido, a Venezuelan "opposist" figure, as the legitimate president of Venezuela.

The judge of the Uk's Supreme Court said in a statement: "We have concluded that the Guaido Commission has succeeded: the STJ (Venezuela's highest court) decision cannot be recognized by us, and now the existence of British gold in Venezuela can only be left to Guaido's disposal." ”

As Wang Ye said caijing reported before, for now, Maduro and Guaido have appointed the board of directors of the Central Bank of Venezuela (BCV), but issued contradictory instructions on gold reserves.

On the one hand, lawyers on BCV's board, which represents Maduro, said he plans to sell some of the gold to fund Venezuela's response to the outbreak and support the country's health care system.

However, according to Guaido, Maduro is looking for gold to pay off the government's foreign debt.

It has to start in 2019!

At that time, Venezuela held a general election, and the United Kingdom, along with about 50 other countries, recognized Guaido as the legitimate president of Venezuela.

After being recognized by Western countries, Guaido asked the Bank of England not to let maduro's government get its holdings of the country's gold.

Subsequently, Maduro's BCV board sued the Bank of England in an attempt to retrieve the gold deposited in the UK.

In this regard, Russia Today (RT) quoted experts as saying that the judgment of the British court is unprecedented, because it is equivalent to the constitution of one country being interpreted by the courts of another country.

What do you think? What do you think about the fact that Venezuelan gold can't be retrieved? What's behind this?
