The Three Treasure Bird (scientific name: Eurystomus orientalis) is a small and medium-sized climbing bird of the genus Three Treasures of the Buddhist monk family, with a total of 10 subspecies, a body length of 26-29 cm, and a weight of 107-194 grams. The whole body is blue-green , the head and wings are darker , dark brown , and the primary flight feathers have pale blue spots at the base , which are very pronounced when flying. The iris is dark brown, and the mouth and feet are red. He often stands for a long time on the dead branches at the top of tall trees on the edge of the road, or flies in circles and up and down in the air, "quacking" as he flies. [1] If an insect is found in flight, it is hunted for predation, and if a lizard or insect is found on the ground, it is like a bait picker and jump on the ground to hunt on foot.

It is found in eastern Siberia, Northeast China, North China, Central China, Northeast Asia and the Himalayas. In winter, it moves south to South China, Southeast Asia and India to avoid the cold. Taiwan is a rare winter migratory bird, or transit bird. Breeding in tree holes, cliffs or rock caves, and using old nests such as woodpeckers or magpies, it also lays 3 shiny white eggs. The male and female incubate the eggs together, and the chicks leave the nest after about 4 weeks and only begin to breed in the third year. This species of bird is known for its beautiful courtship flights.
