Hyundai Motor's plant in Alabama uses 3 underage workers, many of whom even drop out of school for shifts, and some of whom are only 12 years old.
The plant, located near Montgomery, Alabama, reportedly supplies parts for Hyundai's assembly line. In February 2022, a Guatemalan migrant child in Alabama briefly disappeared, after being revealed to be a child laborer at the factory. The father of the girl who disappeared briefly confirmed that his 14-year-old daughter, 12-year-old son and 15-year-old son had all worked at the factory. According to more than a dozen former and current employees, many minors even dropped out of school in order to work long shifts in factories.
