On 10 July, the ninth stage of the Tour de France ended. Jungles (AG2R) broke through and attacked aggressively, launching a solo flight in the last 60km, withstanding the pressure and riding the dust, taking the lead in crossing the line to win his first Tour de France title.
165 drivers took to the starting line of Stage IX, with Guillaume Martin (Kofidis), Asgrin (Quick Step) and Guerrero (EF Education) retiring. After the start of the race, Gilbert (Lotto-Speed O'o) took the lead in attacking, Pederson (Trick SagaLando) fled the main group after the start of the race 13km, and it was not until the 44thkm that a 15-man breakout group was officially formed, including Jungles, Pino (FDJ) and other drivers such as Jungles, Pino (FDJ), and 53km, Van Alte (Jumbo Wismar) and other drivers joined the front breakout group.
Van Alt took the first 20 points from the sprint point on the way, and with 95km away from the finish line, the breakout group's lead reached 3 minutes and 24 seconds, and the Emirates team controlled the riding rhythm of the main group. Latour (Total Energy) in the breakout group took the lead through the second climbing point, Geschke (Kofidis) and Jungles passed the third climbing point, and then Jungels attacked downhill, quickly establishing a 1-minute lead, and behind him was a 13-man pursuit group.
Jungels took the advantage of 2 minutes to fly solo to the climb in front of the finish line, and in the last 20km, Pino attacked alone, the French driver chased the time difference to 20 seconds in the last 3km, but he was still behind Castroviejo (Ineos) and Bellona (moving star) in pursuit.
In the end, Jungels rushed the line alone with a advantage of more than 20 seconds, ushering in his first Tour de France stage champion. Pino was overtaken by Castrovejo and Bellona 1km before the finish line, missing out on the top three. In the subsequent GC group, Pogacha (Emirates) sprinted to the advantage, crossing the finish line before Wengergao and continuing to maintain his overall lead. After the race, Gschke put on the climbing polka dot shirt, Pino won the Dare To Fight award, and the rest of the tricolor collar shirt did not change.
