NDB, RSBN and PRMG stations – how to find them?

Lino_Germany Linno Germany has created a wonderful HD map with all the RSBN and PRMG stations scattered on the map. Use this to find out which NDB, RSBN, or PRMG radio station you need to use.

Note: Only a few airports are equipped with L-39 available RSBN beacons. The RSBN frequencies in the table below are used for RSBN navigation beacons and PRMG beacons.

Navigation Example (NDB ADF)

Note: Arc stations can also be used during landing, so this example may also be combined with the PRMG method.

In this example, we will use the RKL-41ADF (Auto-Direction Finder) to fly over the external and internal NDB beacons located near Kobuleti. We will do the following:

Fly towards Kobuleti and gain an altitude of at least 2500 meters.

Navigate to Kobuleti's external NDB beacon ADF frequency 870 using the RKL-41 ADF system (obtained via a map of Lino Germany).

Using the RKL-41 ADF system, navigate to Kobuleti's internal NDB beacon ADF frequency 490 (obtained via a map of Lino Germany).

Within the NDB station

490

Outer NDB station
