According to ESPN reporter Tim Mac Mahon, former Phoenix Suns center JaVale McGee, who has just signed a contract with the Dallas Mavericks, said he hopes to be the Lone Ranger's starting center next season. He's looking forward to reuniting with 2020 Lakers championship members Jared Dudley and Jason Kidd, all three of whom McGee believes have contributed to the Lakers championship.
According to The Athletic reporter Shams Charania, the Dallas Mavericks and McGee reached a three-year, $20.1 million contract, the final of which was a player option. Interestingly, McGee chose to join the team that eliminated himself in the playoffs for two consecutive years. Last summer, McGee jumped from the Los Angeles Lakers to the Suns, and this summer, he jumped from the Suns to the Lone Rangers.
