The violence marked an escalation of protests that began eight days ago, when the powerful Federation of Indigenous Peoples called for an indefinite strike to push for issues such as its demands on President Guillermo Lasso to lower fuel prices, control agricultural prices and increase education budgets.

In particular, Ecuador has entered the dry season, large-size shrimp production has become less, Santa has stopped the 2030 quotation in the past few days, and needs to produce existing orders first.
