What happens when black Americans come to power? Liberia is a bloody lesson of history

author:Thirteen with tangyuan

The racial discrimination of white people against black people in the United States has always existed, and the status of black people in American society is also very low, and it has always belonged to the discriminated party, and black Americans have taken many actions in order to obtain equal status. Looking at every revolt and demonstration movement of black Americans, I have the idea that once black Americans hold power, what will become of America? What would blacks do to the whites who oppressed them? Although it is impossible for blacks to quickly gain power in the United States in a short period of time, we can first look at what the current black country looks like. Liberia is a black country, a small country in Western Africa, through which we can see how black people govern.

Liberia: Coast full of grain Liberia is a country in the African region that has an alias called "Grain Coast". In this country, as early as the 10th century AD, black tribes have emerged in Liberia and settled here. In 1461, the Portuguese came to the coast of Liberia and monopolized the commercial trade here. The Portuguese established commercial ties with the locals, and by exporting locally produced pepper to other European countries, the merchants gained great profits here, and in the 16th century, the Great Discovery Movement was carried out, and many European colonizer countries, the Netherlands, France and Britain, sailed at sea in search of colonies, and these countries successively went to Liberia to carry out the slave trade. Many blacks were sold into slavery, and after the rise of the abolition movement in the United States, the original oppressed blacks in the United States were greatly liberated. In the end, the U.S. leadership selected the area of Liberia, and a large number of black Americans migrated to the area under the call of policy and the temptation of interests. The current state of black rule

We learned that the country of Liberia was a colonial state founded by black Americans, a small country established in Africa, and a large part of its citizens were originally black Americans.

Therefore, after they gained leadership, they naturally copied all the political systems of the United States, and the difference with the United States was that it was blacks rather than whites who ruled the country, so can this country led by blacks also have a rich life and a prosperous economy like the United States?

However, the history of this country tells us that the truth is not what we think, in 1847 Liberia declared its independence, these black Americans in order to better control the country, they formed a black party, completely controlled the country of Liberia for 102 years.

During these 102 years, Liberia seemed to have entered a feudal society, but this was not the most terrible, these black Americans in order to maintain their rule, they collected taxes from the indigenous black people of Liberia, they rarely had friendly and kind exchanges with the indigenous blacks, the only exchange was to collect taxes.

According to historical records, we can find that Liberia has not been reduced to a colony of a European power, there have been no white colonists here, there are local black colonists with the same skin color as them, these black people from the United States have caused the indigenous black people to be very seriously harmed, the indigenous black people live in hardship and misery, they have no opportunity to participate in the regime, even if it is impossible to seek justice.

The United States regards Liberia as a template for promoting the American political and cultural system to the world, and naturally also vigorously supports Liberia, a country dominated by black Americans, and Liberia, in order to gain the support of the United States, has also continuously sold itself, selling a large number of natural resources within the country to American companies, which go deep into the interior of Liberia, plant various cash crops, and mine minerals for economic benefits.

During World War II, the United States took advantage of Liberia's superior geographical location as a strategic area and as a transit point for American supplies.

With the deliberate support of the Rulers of the United States, the Negroes in Liberia believe that they come from a free country, are different from these native Blacks, they are civilized people, they come here to spread advanced civilization, so they are the people who should hold the power of this country, become the rulers of the local Liberian region, rather than bowing to the indigenous Blacks, who have forgotten the history of their ancestors being sold to the United States as slaves.

The original black slaves were liberated, and they became more terrible than the previous slave owners, more terrible than the whites. From the founding of the colony to 1980, black Americans and their descendants made up only 5 percent of Liberia's population, and they belonged to a minority, yet it was this small minority that held political, cultural, and economic control of Liberia and ruled over the indigenous population for more than 130 years.

I believe that there are still many people today who have not even heard of the name of liberia, let alone know the country, in fact, this can also see the failure of black American rule, the rule of black Americans did not make the country rich and strong, the dictatorship of 1990 brought great harm to the country, a war within the country caused a serious blow to Liberia's economy.

Liberia's economic development is backward and even stagnant, and these blacks from the United States have also undermined the original cultural and social development process in the country, causing it to stagnate or even regress. The rule of the Negroes in the United States has brought constant change and turmoil to the country, and it has constantly consumed the country. Liberia did not grow strong under black American rule, but remained backward.

Black people have been in an oppressed position, the dissatisfaction in their hearts is accumulating day by day, and the demonstrations during this period are to vent these dissatisfactions, and once the blacks in the United States come to power, these grievances will make them do what kind of things naturally do not need me to say more, the United States should pay attention to the problems existing in the current American society, so as not to become like Liberia in the future.
