Australia beat Jordan 1-0, Nayarinen scored the winning goal on point, and the "Kangaroo Army" locked the top spot in the group to advance to the knockout round.

Iraq reversed Kuwait 3-1 to advance to the quarter-finals as the second in the group. Yusuf Rashid opened the scoring for Kuwait before Iraq chased three goals in a row, with Montah Mohammed scoring twice.
