Wen Qi said: "The elegance and humor in the words between the two people are more attractive to me, purely literal, I think there are more subtexts, and there are more things that can be tasted." There is such a small courtyard in the southern city, and there is a large osmanthus tree in the courtyard, which blooms in the golden autumn, and the same color as the sun, the fragrance is in the wind, and it will not disperse for a long time. Inside lived a mother and daughter, an elderly mother, and a daughter who was also nearly ancient.

When reading the script, Wen Qi was moved by the strong emotions flowing in it - less deep suffering and more warm and upward strength, such a text is rare. Because the role is not heavy, many of the blank spaces in the text setting need to be filled by the actors themselves, which is possible to make the characters three-dimensional and convincing, while driving the entire performance logic.
Wen Qi believes that the process of finding Zhou Xia is not easy.
She was very nervous before the actual shooting, but fortunately the director Yang Lina could always give clear instructions. "She's a very lean, neat person, and at first I was a little unsure of the role, so I asked her if she wanted to do anything in advance, to find feelings and so on. She said it was good that I was like this, and she left. Until 5 minutes before the start of filming, she came to talk to me, and then she played it for me, asked me if I understood, I explained, and directly filmed. One scene that impressed her was the one that appeared in the trailer: Zhou Xia was taken away by the police, and when she stepped out of the doorway, a fence passed in front of her eyes, and through the gap she saw two old people standing on their own in the courtyard, "as if the light of the sun grew on them, quieter than anyone else in the world." Wen Qi hoped that he could do the same when he was old.
She had imagined what it would be like if she let herself play an Alzheimer's patient, but even after reading many materials, she still couldn't come up with a specific situation until she saw Xi Meijuan's flawless performance on the spot. Wen Qi said: "I was shocked, because I shot one in the morning and one in the afternoon, and in the morning she was still the serious and rigorous teacher when she was not sick, and in the afternoon she was very ill, and when she looked at us with those childlike eyes and called out to her mother, it was too much to cry, I couldn't see any flaws, it was too easy to be brought in."
