What year was this filmed, and where was it filmed? Why is there a foreigner in it?
Before we unravel the mystery, let's first decipher a few key words:
(1) The godmother of the French New Wave
La Nouvelle Vague is an exploratory movement in the French film industry that was born in the late 1950s and continued until the late 1960s. This wave brought a new atmosphere to the society at that time, and also fixed a beautiful and distinctive face on the film. Among them, Bernadette Lafont is an unavoidable name, her facial features are atmospheric, not feminine, and there is a wildness. In 1957, she starred in the new wave's pioneering work "Pretty Sergey", known as the "godmother of the new wave". In 1985, China held a retrospective exhibition of French films, and La Fang participated in the event as a special guest, visiting Beijing and Shanghai. In 1986, she accepted an invitation from the Beijing Film Academy to teach acting students, leading to the origin of the photograph.
Speaking of La Fang, another sentence, her daughter Paulina La Fang, Chinese audiences are more familiar, she once came to China to participate in the filming of the movie "Kyoto Ball Man", played the film of the Yankee who loves China, La Fang loves China very much, and hopes to live in China in the future, but unfortunately an accident, premature incense disappeared, regrettable, but also became the mother's eternal heartache.
(2) Star class
In 1985, the Acting Department of the Beijing Film Academy held a two-year training class for young actors, mainly for a group of up-and-coming young actors in the film industry to further improve their performance skills, which had a great impact at that time. Because many of the students in this class had a certain influence at that time, people called it the "star class".

This is the new students recruited by the Acting Department after the 82nd class, two years apart, mainly for high school graduates, but also a small number of social personnel. At that time, the proportion of college entrance examination admissions was still very low, so it was very difficult to enter this class, and 18 young people who were in the flower season of youth were lucky enough to be admitted, including many familiar names (about the story of class 84, I will launch a special article later, so stay tuned).
In April 1986, in order to improve the performance ability of the students of the Department of Acting, broaden their horizons, and learn more advanced concepts, Ms. La Fang was invited to teach the students, which is also an academic exchange, and her courses are lively and interesting, interactive, and different teaching methods are deeply loved by the students. At that time, there were two classes for acting students, one for the refresher class and the other for the 84 class. So we saw students in two classes in the photo.
This photo was taken around May, this is in the new location of the film school student dormitory in front of the canteen, the weather is not too warm, so we see that some people on the picture are still wearing a lot, especially the older.
