The World of Warcraft Nostalgia Burning Expedition (hereinafter referred to as TBC) will open the P5 phase on May 12, and on May 13, TBC's last Group of Sun Well Heights (hereinafter referred to as SW) will also arrive. When it comes to SW, many people think of "brushing the toilet", but from the test situation of Blizzard in PTR, we will face a group that most national service players have not experienced, and it will have higher requirements for team hardware and resilience. Even if you've played TBC more than a decade ago, you can think of it as a brand new copy and enjoy this journey before the WLK.
Some time ago, Blizzard announced that it would open the PTR of Wrath of the Lich King (hereinafter referred to as WLK) in July, which also made many players worry that "the equipment I bought in SW is not over in a few days", of course, this is not the case. We know that when the version changes from version to version, Blizzard will open PTR for players to experience in advance and test bugs. But TBC and WLK are the interface between the two expansion packs, and it is likely that they will be tested for a longer period of time.
This is not without precedent, let's take the transition to TBC in the 1960s as an example. TBC's PTR is open in late January 2021, and it wasn't until June 2 that TBC really opened. On the eve of deducting a month, we also played NAXX for more than 3 months after the PTR opened. So now many people speculate that "WLK should open in September or October" is not true, and the sw equipment retention is still very high.
So does that mean that the SW process is too lengthy, leaving players to fall into exhaustion early? Nor is this the case.
The SW we are about to come into contact with is a SW that Blizzard promised, an UNtended SW, but from the experience of the P2 double book, Blizzard will most likely open a weakened SW before the next eve, so that ordinary players can easily pass the level.
In other words, teams of different levels can challenge this quest in stages to get the equipment they want. The change in the difficulty of the copy will also make P5 not look lengthy and difficult, and even usher in a new wave of player return like NAXX in the mid-to-late 60s.
Finally, don't forget that the existence of the orange bow also means that the duration of this book will not be particularly short. Blizzard certainly didn't want many warriors, stalkers, and hunters to enter the WLK with regrets, and didn't want the orange bow to become the shortest-lived and least value-preserving orange equipment in history.
