"Two fields" pure electric new car is not satisfactory Nissan Ariya can be honored for Japanese brands?

In the era of fuel vehicles, Japanese brands such as Toyota, Honda, and Nissan have been welcomed around the world because of their fuel-saving, durable, and reliable characteristics. In the Chinese market, the Japanese top three are also in the forefront in terms of name and sales, but it is lamentable that in the era of new energy vehicles, the Japanese top three are going downhill.

It was not until last year that the Japanese three finally made up their minds to carry out electrification transformation, and since this year, they have successively released pure electric products, and on April 26, Honda China launched e:NS1 and e:NP1 in the Chinese market, based on the e:N Architecture F platform, produced by Dongfeng Honda and Guangqi Honda.

Two days later, on April 28, Toyota also officially launched the new bZ4X in the Chinese market, built by Toyota's latest e-TNGA platform, and jointly produced by North-South Toyota in China, with exactly the same pricing and configuration.

These two new cars were regarded by many Japanese car fans as the models of Japanese brands opening up the situation in domestic new energy before they were launched, whether it was ordinary consumers or practitioners in the automotive industry, they had high hopes for these two cars, but when the vehicles were really listed, e:NS1 and bZ4X were greatly disappointed.

Not to mention whether these two cars came too late, that is, in terms of power and endurance, Honda e: NS1 and Toyota's bZ4X do not have much advantage in the face of domestic independent brands or traditional brands like Volkswagen.

From the perspective of endurance, not to mention the honda e: NS1's maximum 510km endurance, in the domestic independent brands, more than Toyota bZ4X 615km endurance models are also everywhere, and even cheaper. In terms of power data, the two pure trams in Ryota also did not show a heartwarming feeling.

In terms of intelligent configuration, Honda e: NS1 and Toyota bZ4X are maintained at a consistent level, the assisted driving system can only be maintained in a single lane, the car machine system is closed as always, the function is still only navigation, voice control, mobile phone APP control vehicles and other basic functions, and the current model basically has no change, the two are just a wave of bluff on the machine screen, the screen size is enlarged.

However, the most disappointing thing is the Honda e:NS1's "oil to electricity" and serious premium behavior, although Honda said that e:NS1 is based on the new e:N Architecture F platform to build, but the strange battery pack shape and the large blank space of the front axle battery pack are exposed to its "oil to electricity" identity, 175-21.8 million price is far beyond the expectations of consumers.

Whether e: NS1 and bZ4X are a test of "Two Fields" for China's pure electricity market, or "Two Fields" has only such strength in the field of pure electricity, Chinese consumers are indeed extremely disappointed in the first pure electric model of "Two Fields", and even doubt whether "Two Fields" are really determined to promote electrification, which has also led to more Japanese car fans to focus on Nissan.

Nissan's current domestic market can be said to be a tough one, with sales of the Nissan brand in China in 2021 being only 1,047,073 units, although more than one million units, but the cheap Xuanyi series models have contributed 513,193 units, more than half of which are completely inconsistent with its joint venture brand status.

Last year's blockbuster model of the new X-Trail is also cold in the market, Nissan is gradually pulled apart by the "two fields", and the brand power accumulated in the Chinese market for more than ten years is now gradually dissipating.

However, it is worth mentioning that Nissan has made great achievements in the field of electric vehicles, and has more experience in building electric vehicles than Toyota and Honda, which is why many Japanese car fans we mentioned earlier immediately turned their attention to Nissan after being disappointed in the first pure electric model of "Ryota".

Nissan as early as the last century in the study of electric vehicle technology, its first electric vehicle - Tama can even be traced back to 1947, since then Nissan has not stopped research in the field of electric vehicles, in 2009 was the launch of Nissan Leaf this electric model, at that time in the European and American markets was extremely popular, sales reached 100,000 units in 2014, reached 200,000 units in 2015, reached 300,000 units in 2018, reached 400 in 2019, 000 units, which today sell more than 450,000 units, were the world's best-selling electric vehicles before being replaced by the Tesla Model 3 in 2021.

At the time of the launch of the first electric vehicle of "Two Fields", Dongfeng Nissan's Ariya also opened blind booking in China, and it is expected that it will be officially launched in the near future.

Ariya was created by CMF-EV, a new electric vehicle platform of the Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi Alliance, and the overall appearance of the vehicle is obviously Nissan, adding some futuristic design while still retaining Nissan's traditional design style.

Ariya is positioned as a compact SUV size, Ariya length, width and height are 4603/1900/1654 mm, the wheelbase is 2775 mm, the size of the vehicle is not much different from the ID.4 of X-Trail and Volkswagen, but in terms of wheelbase it is a little better than Kijun and ID.4.

The interior of the domestic version is not yet known, but it should be consistent with the overseas version of the model, that is, it will focus on simple style, and there will be a double 12.3-inch screen that will be amazing, although this dual screen design is already unremarkable for domestic consumers, but it is a milestone for conservative Japanese brands. Although the screen is large, it is best not to have too many expectations in terms of intelligence.

In addition, Ariya will be launched in two-wheel drive and four-wheel drive versions, and the four-wheel drive model will adopt the front and rear dual-motor power layout. The maximum power of the single-motor version is 178kW and the maximum speed is 160km/h; the motor power before and after the dual-motor version is 160kW/160kW, respectively, and the comprehensive power is currently unknown. In terms of endurance, the new car provides two kinds of power battery workers' choices of 87kWh and 63kWh, and the WLTC mileage of specific models ranges from 430-610km.

Frankly speaking, Nissan Ariya has no advantages over bZ4X in terms of power endurance, the two are basically the same, but the dual screen of Aria interior will undoubtedly make domestic consumption more close, but the most important thing is the price. As long as Nissan is willing to put down its body and exchange it for price, I believe that Ariya will definitely sell it in China.
