Because the gameplay and style of this game look a bit like the previous popular "Clash of Clans: Clash Royale", some players expressed great dissatisfaction.

In response, Blizzard designers claim that Warcraft Arc is very different from Clash of Clans: Clash Royale. Warcraft Arc Light Battle has a leader and there are five different factions to choose from. There are high and low terrain concepts in the game, and there are also differences between ranged, melee, and siege characters.

Blizzard Art Director Jeremy Collins and Senior Software Engineer Andy Lim expressed some of their views in an interview with GamerBraves, and also said that fans can see everything they are looking forward to in the latest Warcraft series.

Blizzard designers also specifically emphasized that Warcraft Arc Does not contain out-of-box/card-drawn Kryptonian gameplay or NFT (non-homogeneous token) content.

According to Jeremy and Andy, it's a lighthearted pinball game similar to Hearthstone's Azeroth warriors playing in a tavern.

"You throw these little things on the map and they come back to life, and they use their abilities to fight each other. This story will take you through the world of Azeroth, starting with Elvin and going to the Wild West, the Twilight Forest, and many other familiar places. ”

According to Collins, they decided to use numbers because it would allow the characters to stand out more on smaller phone screens.

"It's a mobile game that brings a lot of challenges, especially from the RTS camera perspective where we can look at the characters from top to bottom. This means that you can basically only see the first third of them, so we have to pay a lot of attention to the outline of each model, and the color decomposition they have. Players need to be able to see the character and say "Oh, gray and orange, that's going to be black iron miners, or "that's a big red unit, oh, that must be a dragon."

According to reports, this game will mainly focus on single-player PvE gameplay, and will provide 70 maps when it is released, each map has a different boss, and each map has a different mechanism.

"The fun of the game is figuring out how to build your army around several core units on each map, and each map changes. After all, not every commander will do the same thing. You have to adapt and control your army. ”

How is it different from Clash Royale?

"There's definitely some similarities, we played a lot of Clash Royale, but I think it's a lot different from War. Our game has the concept of a ruler. This is a unit that exists in all five families. The game features Beasts, Black Rock, Hordes, Alliances, and the Undead. Each faction has a different leader in the game. You're actually building an army around these leaders.

In our game there are also highs and lowlands. We distinguish between ranged, melee, and siege characters. If you have a ranged character, you can shoot from high to low. There is a clear height advantage over in the lowlands. ”

There are no loot boxes, draw cards or NFTs

Although this is a hero collection game, it has been proven that it is not a card draw game and there will be no loot chests. Players can choose to purchase any unit with their own money or by storing in-game rewards.

"There's no such thing as a loot box mechanic in the game. If you want to buy a unit, you can find the bottom of the store, we have 'packs' of different sizes, you buy a coin (binding), and then you can buy exactly what you want, because it is already in your store, so you can buy whatever you want. So at the end of the day, there's no uncertainty about what you get. ”

They also confirmed that there will be no NFTs in the game. That is to say, the non-homogeneous token that everyone often says, the full name is Non-Fungible Token, placed here similar to the tradable unique props, I believe that everyone does not want Blizzard to join this design.
