About the Author
Chihisa Ikeda was born in 1942 in North Jeolla Province, North Korea. Received his bachelor's, master's and doctoral degrees from the University of Tokyo. He is currently an honorary professor at the University of Tokyo. He was once employed as a first-class professor at Shandong University. He is a world-renowned expert in Chinese classics, especially in Taoist studies and excavated literature. His numerous works in this regard include Zhuangzi- the Philosophy and Evolution of "Taoism" (National Compilation Museum, Taiwan, 2001), Studies on the Five Elements of the Mawangdui Han Tomb (China Social Science Press, 2005), Collect Chinese ed Research Papers on Ikeda Zhijiu's Jianshu (Zhonghua Bookstore, 2006), New Research on Taoist Thought: Thinking as the Center (Zhongzhou Ancient Books Publishing House, 2009), And on the Tao: A Careful Reading of Thought (Guangxi Normal University Press, Guangxi Normal University Press, 2021) and so on.
