The 2022 Snooker World Championship ended all three rounds in the early hours of this morning.

Although the performance of the Chinese team in the second round was very good, in the third round, it encountered a cold snap. The three Chinese players who had been promoted the day before, Ding Junhui, Zhou Yuelong and Lu Haotian, were all defeated in the derby and lost foreign matches. Yesterday, 6 Chinese players played, all of which were foreign matches, and only Yuan Sijun and Lei Peifan advanced.

Yuan Sijun shot a 3-shot breaker to win Ryan Day 6-1 against Highfield in the decider. Repefan eliminated Ussenbach 6-3 and the decider against Wafi was a bit difficult.

Of the four players who lost, Pang Junxu lost 1-6 to Dortmund. Dort scored a perfect score of 147 in the 6th inning, and is expected to win a prize of 25,000 pounds (Dort 147 is also introduced), and Pang Junxu's previous expectations of a single-shot top prize have been completely shattered. Cao Yupeng against Mirkins, in the 2nd set, because of dissatisfaction with the referee's reset, Cao Yupeng lost his temper and pounded the table, and was warned by the referee that it should not be. And in hindsight, looking at the referee's reset, it seems to be slightly favorable to Cao Yupeng. Cao Yupeng, who had a fluctuating mentality, lost 4 consecutive sets and once chased 3-4, but eventually lost. As I said before, Cao Yupeng has been very stable in one round this season, but it is difficult to take two more steps. Gao Yang lost 4-6 to Carter, and there is still theoretical hope for Gao Yang to be relegated. The match between Xiao Guodong and David Grace ended, and Grace won the last two consecutive sets to eliminate Xiao Guodong 6-4.

At this point, 15 people played, and finally 5 people advanced to the decisive round (judgment day). Compared with the qualifiers of the last World Championships, 10 people advanced to the decider round, which is a big gap, but overall, it is still within the normal range. Hopefully, the Chinese players in the decisive round can play well.

Finally, a group of Chinese players will be issued a record of the participation of the world championship in the main stage (Crucible):

Led by Ding Junhui, 5 Chinese players played in the decider round; the Crucible Chinese Legion participated in the full record
