On April 7, GAC Group released a production and sales report. According to official data, GAC Motor Group produced and sold 227,600 vehicles and 227,500 vehicles in March, up 24.4% and 30.7% year-on-year, and production and sales exceeded 40% month-on-month growth. In the first quarter of 2022, GAC Group's cumulative production and sales of automobiles were 598,100 units and 608,200 vehicles, respectively, an increase of 25.0% and 22.5% year-on-year, and the production and sales in the first quarter continued to rise, achieving a good start.
In terms of autonomous segments, GAC Aean produced 20,739 vehicles in March, an increase of 189.8% year-on-year, and sold 20,317 vehicles, an increase of 189.7% year-on-year, and the production and sales exceeded 20,000 for the first time, and the product strength of the model continued to be highly recognized by the market.
Another brand of its own brand, "Gemini", GAC Trumpchi, also performed well, achieving production of 29,981 units in March, an increase of 8% year-on-year, and sales of 30,091 units, an increase of 15.1% year-on-year. From January to March, the cumulative production of 85,206 units, an increase of 15.9% year-on-year, cumulative sales of 90,448 units, an increase of 21.8% year-on-year, all double-digit growth, the performance continued to upward trend is obvious.
From January to March, GAC Honda sold 212,424 units and GAC Toyota sold 247,006 units, up 16.7% and 23.4% year-on-year. It is worth noting that in the first quarter, the sales volume of GAC's "two fields" energy-saving vehicles reached 34,560 units and 69,900 units, respectively, accounting for 16.3% and 28.3% of their respective sales in the same period.
