(BMW Brilliance) announced that with effect from April 1, 2022, Franz Decker, the company's current Senior Vice President of Technology and Production, will succeed Johann Wieland as President and CEO of BMW Brilliance, and Robert Kuessel, currently director of the Dadong plant, will take over as senior vice president of technology and production from April 1, 2022. Wei Lander will return to Germany after his term of office.
Dai joined BMW Brilliance in September 2016 as Vice President of Strategy and Logistics and was promoted to Senior Vice President of Technology and Production in January 2020, having 18 years of experience with the BMW Group prior to coming to China. In recent years, the automotive industry has faced multiple challenges, Dai Hexuan has been responsible for and successfully built new factories and upgrading projects, while also promoting BMW Brilliance to set new production volumes.
Konso joined the BMW Group in 2000 and has extensive production, planning and management experience in Germany, China and the USA. Last year, he led the Dadong plant to a record production record, and before that he served as the director of the Tiexi plant.
During wei lander's five and a half years as president and CEO, BMW Brilliance doubled its production and performance, significantly expanded its Shenyang production base, and created more than 6,500 new jobs.
