[Is there anything wrong with Lithuania pulling Taiwan to support it and suing China in the WTO?] 】

Out of the needs of their respective interests, Lithuania and Taiwan have recently hooked up very vigorously, and after Lithuania was hammered, Taiwan, which has no ability to do so, has jumped out again to support its own brothers and sisters. Reuters Taipei reported on February 15 that Taiwan's foreign affairs department said on February 15 that Taiwan has joined the ranks of the United States and Australia, supporting the EUROPEAN Union's lawsuit against the World Trade Organization (WTO) accusing Chinese mainland of imposing trade restrictions on Lithuania.

The European Union launched a challenge at the WTO last month accusing China of discriminatory trade practices against Lithuania, saying it threatened the integrity of the EU's single market.

Au Jiang-an, spokesman for Taiwan's foreign affairs department, said that the Taiwan region had proposed consultations on joining the case as a third party in the WTO last Wednesday. He said the economic coercion of the Chinese mainland had violated international economic and trade norms and should not be tolerated, and said the Taiwan region would work with like-minded partners such as Lithuania and the European Union to maintain a rules-based international trading system. The UK is also said to have joined the case.

Under the WTO Protocol, after a dispute settlement procedure is proposed, the parties are allowed to negotiate within 60 days to reach a settlement. If no agreement is reached, the EU could choose to formally mediate the dispute and set up a WTO panel to study its claims against China.

Knocking on the blackboard: The Taiwan authorities have put on a posture of "Taiwan wants to seek justice for Lithuania", and the clown who jumps the beam knows that he does not play much of a role, but the sense of existence still has to be brushed, and the posture is still to be posed. And what Li Laoshi wants to focus on Lithuania is that you haven't even figured out where the questions are, and what papers are you answering? The issue of neutrality between the two countries is not an economic and trade issue, but a political issue concerning China's sovereignty and territorial dignity. It is inappropriate to bring political issues to the WTO to resolve them, and there will be no results.

In recent years, under the sabotage of US unilateralism, the WTO dispute settlement mechanism has been increasingly significantly politically interfered with, and the United States has also paralyzed the operation of the WTO Appellate Body. This dispute around the so-called "Chinese economic coercion", even if discussed on the WTO platform, will inevitably involve arbitration.

Ironically, Lithuania fantasizes about putting pressure on China through the WTO, and I am afraid that the first issue to be solved is to persuade the United States to restore its paralyzed WTO Appellate Body as soon as possible.
