But friends familiar with the American brand Ford should remember that Fox, as one of the brand's representative works in the mainland market, sold nearly 40,000 units in the early years. The reason why there will be such an obvious sales contrast, although there is the rise of competitors at the same level, I am afraid that it is not unrelated to its paranoid use of three-cylinder engines that the Chinese people have not really recognized. Fortunately, Ford, realizing that the three-cylinder engine could not make the Focus brilliant, finally let go of the obsession. In the latest batch of applications recently exposed on the website of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, it contains the new Changan Ford Focus with a 1.5T four-cylinder engine.
The first thing to say is that the new Forts for the declaration this time will cover both sedan and hatchback models. As can be seen from the declaration chart, the front face of its sedan version will be more obviously changed. The new car is replaced with a larger blackened grille, and the front bracketing style will become more three-dimensional; it will create a more aggressive visual effect while also gaining a stronger sporty attribute.
In addition to the natural changes in the front, its sporty model offers kit options such as red brake calipers, spoke matte rims and exclusive pullers. It is worth mentioning that its high-end models will also be equipped with Michelin PS4 high-performance tires as standard to further sublimate the sporty model setting. In terms of size, the new Fox sedan model has a length, width and height of 4664 (4672)/1824/1467 (1460) mm and a wheelbase of 2705mm; compared with the current version, the upgrade is not obvious.
After talking about the sedan version, let's take a look at the hatchback version of the new Fox. Still from the declaration chart, its front face is the same as the sedan version of the model, and after adjustment, it mainly sublimates the aggressive and three-dimensional visual effects. The sports kit mentioned above will also appear on its hatchback sports version. Moreover, due to the natural advantages of the hatchback version of the structure, it will also make it look more like a "steel cannon" product. In terms of body size, the length, width and height of the new Fox hatchback model are 4401 (4404)/1824/1470 (1453) mm, respectively; compared with the current version, the adjustment is also not large.
As for the power side, it is another highlight of the new Focus. According to the declaration information, the new car will be equipped with a 1.5T four-cylinder turbocharged engine codenamed CAF479WQ6. This engine, on the other hand, was the same engine used by Mondeo and Echinoder before; its maximum output was 130 kilowatts.
Judging only by the declaration information currently exposed by the new Focus, the adjustment of the appearance of its sedan or hatchback models can undoubtedly make it more in line with the current aesthetic trend. Of course, the return to the 1.5T four-cylinder engine should be the highlight that "Ford fans" are most looking forward to, right?
