Tour the Tang Zhao Mausoleum

In the early spring of 2011, my friend Xiaole got into the car and took our whole family to the Jiuwei Mountain in Liquan County. At this time, the weather was still a little cold, I looked through the car window, the trees on the side of the road hurriedly flew backwards; occasionally I could see the peach blossoms on the side of the road, and the pink flowers seemed to beckon to us: Welcome to visit the Zhaoling Tomb in Liquan County!

Zhaoling is the mausoleum of Emperor Taizong of Tang, Li Shimin, located on Mount Jiugao in the northeast of Liquan County, Xianyang City. Zhaoling was built in the 10th year of Zhenguan (636) and continued to be built until 743 AD, which lasted for 107 years, of which there were 108 funerary tombs, known as the world's famous tombs. The cemetery and funerary cemetery area is 12.65 kilometers long from north to south, 15.45 kilometers from east to west, and covers an area of 113.15 square kilometers.

Xiao Le drove the car, and I talked to my family about the story of Zhaoling, and my family asked me: "Is the underground palace of Li Shimin's Zhaoling open?" I replied: "Zhaoling underground palace has not been opened, the current scientific and technological capabilities have not met the conditions, if you dare to open the mausoleum, once the air enters the underground palace, the precious cultural relics inside will instantly become powder, so the cultural relics department will not carry out excavation for the time being."

Soon our car came to the front of the Zhaoling Gate, and Xiao Le parked the car in the parking lot. We walked up the nine steps, and a large avenue led directly to the Jiugao Mountain. At this time, the weather was sunny and sunny, and the statue of Li Shimin stood tall in the middle of the road, holding a wide belt in both hands, looking into the distance, kind and determined. The stele of the statue reads: Li Shimin, emperor taizong of Tang, whose ancestral home was Chengji in Longxi (present-day Qin'an, Gansu), a native of Di Dao in Longxi, and a native of Lintao County, Gansu Province. The second emperor of the Tang Dynasty (reigned from 626 to 649), he was a politician, strategist, military expert, and poet, who played a leading role in the struggle against the Sui and Tang Dynasties, and the victory of the Xuanwumen Rebellion of Tang Taizong objectively played a positive role in the development of the social history of the early Tang Dynasty.

Our group continued along the avenue to the 6 large reliefs of Zhaoling. This is the Tang Zhaoling Six Horse Stone Carvings, named "Fist Hair", "Shiva Chi", "White Hoof Wu", "Teller Horse", "Green Horse", "Salu Purple". Among them, the two stone carvings of "Salu Purple" and "Fist Hair" were stolen in 1914, transferred to the hands of cultural relics dealers, and finally lost overseas, and later entered the Museum of the University of Pennsylvania in the United States. The remaining four pieces were also broken and packed, intercepted during theft, and are now displayed in the Forest of Steles Museum in Xi'an. The Six Horse Stone Carvings of Tang Zhaoling were carved to commemorate six warhorses that accompanied Tang Taizong Li Shimin on his conquest of the battlefield, and were handed down to the craftsmen Yan Lide and the painter Yan Liben at that time.

Tang Zhaoling's Six Horse Stone Carvings, using high relief techniques, with concise lines and accurate shapes, vividly and vividly show the posture and personality of the warhorse and the scene of arrows in the battle front and galloping on the battlefield. The carving line is smooth, the knife method is rounded, the carving is fine, and it is a well-known stone carving art treasure at home and abroad.

I looked up in the direction of Jiuwei Mountain, the peak stood majestically, full of pines and cypresses, it was really an excellent feng shui treasure. In the northern part of the vast Guanzhong Plain, there is a mountain range that stretches from east to west, with undulating mountains and peaks. This mountain range rises in the territory of Liquan County, and the sea is as high as 1188 meters. Around it, nine dragon-like mountain beams are evenly distributed, and the main peak is held high, hence the name Jiugao Mountain.

I pointed to the main peak and said to my family, "The nine roads around the Nine Ridges Mountain are like dragon mountain beams, like the undulating backbone of a Chinese dragon?" The main peak of Jiugao Mountain is like a dragon head, this dragon is a symbol of nobility and honor in traditional Chinese culture, and it is also a totem for the chinese nation to take off and rejuvenate! ″。
