Cui Wei's time as chairman of the board is not short, he succeeded Yang Shucai as the chairman of the Oriental Fund in December 2011, and it has been 11 years now.

Born in November 1967, Cui Wei is 55 years old and has a high degree of education and rich work experience.

Cui Wei was a 1999 Ph.D. from Tsinghua University's Wudaokou School of Finance, when he was 32 years old, Cui Wei worked at Chinese Min min bank before his doctoral studies. In detail, from April 1993 to July 1996, Cui Wei successively served as a cadre, deputy director and chief section member in the Survey and Statistics Department of the People's Bank of China.

Subsequently, he was transferred to the General Office of the People's Bank of China as a chief clerk, and then he was promoted to deputy secretary of the secretariat, when Cui Wei was just 30 years old.

After more than 4 years in the People's Bank of China, Cui Wei came to work at the China Securities Regulatory Commission for about 3 years, and he served as deputy director and director of the secretariat of the office.

Interestingly, after coming out of the People's Bank of China and working for the CSRC for a few years, Cui Wei returned to the People's Bank of China again, at which point he began to lead the branch independently, and from April 2000 to September 2004, Cui Wei served as vice president of the Dongguan Central Branch of the People's Bank of China and president of the Shantou Central Branch.

In September 2004, Cui Wei came to the Hainan Regulatory Bureau of the China Securities Regulatory Commission as the deputy director, and he would lead the Hainan Regulatory Bureau to hold a special meeting on listed companies and securities and futures operators in the jurisdiction, and make efforts to speed up the pace and improve the quality of listing. Around 2006, Choi became the director.

Cui Wei's transfer was really fast, and in September 2008, Cui Wei began to serve as the deputy director of the CSRC's coordination department.

In 2011, Cui Wei came to Orient Fund Company as chairman, and when he took office, Orient Fund Company had serious management and institutional disputes, poor operating conditions, small scale, and limited external cooperation. However, Cui Wei rose to the challenge, first rectified from within the company, and expanded the channel of the knee beast in the outside world to achieve a steady growth of the company.
