Funny story Shaoxing master: They huddled together for warmth, and Fu Zuoyi's uprising was influenced by the Shaoxing people Zeng Youxin

From the Ming and Qing dynasties to the Republic of China, on the stage of Chinese history, there has always been such a special group: they are in the official field, but they are not officials. Although they are not officials, the officialdom is inseparable from them. Most of these people come from one place: Shaoxing. They are Master Shaoxing.

Shaoxing has been a scholar since ancient times. During the Eastern Jin Dynasty, Wang Xizhi and his friends left the world's first line of books here, leaving hanmo wind and currents. In the Ming Dynasty, Shaoxing formed a "good learning mind", respecting teachers and choosing friends, the sound of string chanting, and the smell of houses. ''ethos. In the Ming and Qing dynasties, most of the officials who joined the army were familiar with the Four Books and Five Classics, but they did not understand practical matters such as justice, money, grain, and taxes. Officials had to hire specialized personnel to assist them, and such people were the masters. There are many people in Shaoxing, and there are very few people who can finally get a meritorious name. In order to make a living, most of the readers in Shaoxing will choose to go out to do teacher work.

Xu Wei, a great talent of the Ming Dynasty, was revered as the ancestor of The Master of Shaoxing. Although he was known for his talent since childhood, the road to the imperial examination was very unsmooth, and he failed to pass 8 examinations. In 1558, Hu Zongxian, the governor of Zhejiang, recruited Xu Wei into the shogunate and made him the chief secretary. Hearing that he had no money to buy real estate, Hu Zongxian asked Xu Wei to write a "Record of Zhenhai Lou" and gave 220 taels of pen fees, which is equivalent to a county order for 5 years' salary. Xu Wei was good at military parades on weekdays, and during his tenure as secretary in charge, he actively advised Hu Zongxian. The History of Ming commented on him: "Wei Zhibing, curious plan, Zong Xian captured Xu Hai, seduced Wang Zhi, all premeditated. ''

After Xu Wei, Master Shaoxing gradually emerged in the official arena. Gu Yanwu described it in his Rizhilu: "The thirteenth division of the present household department are all Shaoxing people. By the Qing Dynasty, Master Shaoxing had truly become a very influential group of staff, and there was even a saying in the official arena that "no Shao is no one."

Why is this happening? On the one hand, officials at all levels are inseparable from the master. For example, the provincial governors are not only responsible for administration and justice, but also in charge of military affairs, grain and wages, river channels, tuntian, and salt administration.

On the other hand, Shaoxing people are very grouped. They attach great importance to the relationship between their hometowns, the same ethnic group, in-laws, teachers and students, and often promote each other, "'each other's voices, greeting each other conveniently'", Shaoxing guild halls all over the place often open special training classes for teachers.

There are wild histories that during the Qing Yongzheng period, Wu Sidao, a shaoxing man, was hired by Tian Wenjing, the inspector of Henan. One day, Wu Sidao asked Tian Wenjing: "Does the lord want to be a famous governor, or an ordinary official?" ''

Tian Wenjing replied: "Of course, it is a supervisor." ''

Wu Sidao said, "Then please let the adults let me act." ''

Therefore, Wu Sidao, in the name of Tian Wenjing, actually participated in the impeachment of the uncle of the current dynasty, Long Keduo. At that time, Longkodo was arrogant and perverted the law, and Yongzheng was jealous of it, but he suffered from the fact that "chinese and foreign ministers do not dare to speak of their crimes", and this letter undoubtedly came at the right time. Long Keduo was eventually convicted, and Tian Wenjing was also reused. Later, Wu Sidao and Tian Wenjing had a conflict, and Wu Sidao left in anger. Tian Wenjing personally wrote the recital, but it was "improper intentions, and the number was condemned". He had no choice but to invite Wu Sidao back and write a recital for himself. This time, the Yongzheng Emperor wrote in his own handwriting on the fold: ''Shuo'an, Mr. Wu'an?' ''
