In the first year of Yongzheng, Tian Wenjing was sent to pay tribute to Mount Hua, which coincided with a disaster in Shanxi, but the magistrate did not admit it, so Tian Wenjing returned and told Yongzheng in 1510. Yongzheng sent him to relieve the disaster, and he was also appreciated by the Yongzheng Emperor, and Tian Wenjing began to become a confidant of the Yongzheng Emperor.
An important thing during Yongzheng's reign was to promote the New Deal, and Tian Wenjing was sent to the local area and became a feudal official, for which he vigorously promoted the reform policy of the Yongzheng Emperor, and Yongzheng also called him a "model Xinjiang official".
However, Tian Wenjing was a man who was decisive and capable, known for his iron fist and selfless face, so he also offended many people, and often people complained to Yongzheng.
If you look at it from the perspective of Yongzheng's employment, he is indeed a rare good official. For Yongzheng, it is precisely the need for such a person to govern the place.
When Yongzheng ascended the throne, Tian Wenjing was not young, and he experienced the early years of Yongzheng, and to tell the truth, he was not young, he was unable to do so, especially by the officials of his subordinates, and could not effectively govern and pacify the localities.
Tian Wenjing also knew that he was of little use, so he asked for retirement, at first Yongzheng did not agree, but in the tenth year of Yongzheng (1732), he again asked for retirement due to illness, and the Yongzheng Emperor allowed him.
