Monogatari:
The poetry of Suzhou, along with the poet's pen, drifts into our hearts again and again.
//
For thousands of years, Suzhou has been the inspiration of poets, and under the moisture of Wumen's smoke, one poem after another has been passed down to this day.
They create a poetic Suzhou for us, a timeless and colorful Suzhou, shuttling through those scenes that are either mottled or depressed, or prosperous or natural, as if traveling back to the past, and resonating with poets in an instant.
When the poet is gone, Suzhou has never been forgotten, and its poetry, along with the poet's pen, has repeatedly drifted into people's hearts.
Today, let us follow the poems one by one, touch the real Suzhou, and meet the poetry.

The river is sparkling, the crescent-like Maple Bridge spans the ancient canal, and on a moonlit night a thousand years ago, Zhang Ji, who came from the north, stopped at the side of this bridge to rest.
On late autumn nights, the outside of the city is covered with frost, and the trees on the shore, the perched birds make a miserable sound, which makes people feel sick. When the bells of The Hanshan Temple rang, Zhang Ji could no longer sleep, so he got up and put on a coat and wrote: "The moon is falling and the frost is full of frost, and the Jiangfeng fishing fire is sleeping." At this time, the loneliness of being alone in other places shrouded this maple bridge, and little by little it floated into the night sky of Gusu City.
A thousand years later, the sight of being alone is still unavoidable, with people living alone, traveling alone, and doing many things alone.
Sometimes like Zhang Ji, he sleepless at night and feels lost. Sometimes I also feel that in the great era, there is a moment of my own, but I can concentrate and hear the voice of the world. Just like Zhang Ji, he heard the cry, heard the bell, and also heard his own inner sorrow.
Alone, but with a moment of careful listening, I perceive the more authentic state of the world, and I have a moment of self.
"When you go to Gusu, people will pillow the river." Today's Pingjiang Road still retains the old city style of the river road parallel.
In a small boat, wandering in the small river, passing through the crooked green arch bridge, passing the houses and old windows along the coast, you can see the Jiangnan of the past life.
The master who shook the ship was not hurried, and the footsteps of those who landed here from various cities also slowed down.
Along the alleys of Suzhou people's homes, the steps are extremely light, for fear of disturbing the good dreams of sleeping. A vermilion lacquered door was half-hidden and gently pushed open, and the eyebrows of the Suzhou people gradually became clear. They sipped tea and talked softly, leaning in the breeze, and the soft voice drifted into their ears.
They always eat tea slowly for a day, and when it gets dark, they get up and disappear into the narrow alley.
Thousands of years have passed, but the old time seems to have never gone far, the old city of Suzhou is as usual, and the people of Suzhou are as usual. The days here are still as long as a riverbank, slow as flowing water.
People come here to avoid the hustle and bustle of traffic, avoid the rush of the city, and meet the suzhou slowness in life.
"Since the kaishan Temple Road, water and land exchanges are frequent." In the Tang Dynasty, Shantang Street was the only way for people to go to Tiger Hill, but the road conditions were very poor, and people always had to run through the water. When Bai Juyi did the Suzhou Thorn History, he dredged the silt at the bottom of the river and built a river embankment street.
So Shantang Street has a new look. People can walk, take a boat, and lead beautiful horses. The shops on the street are lined with pedestrians, and the shouts and sales are one after another.
The front door is a street firework, and the back door is the pillow river life. People wash their clothes and vegetables at the stone steps by the river, children frolic, and old people drink tea on the balcony, with the small flowers blooming on the railing, full of elegance.
This bustling fireworks scene on Shantang Street continues to this day.
At the beginning, people walked into Shantang Street, only to feel that it was a mediocre commercial street, and when we saw the life of the people behind the house, we suddenly felt that business was not possible, but we had to thank the existence of business, and the Shantang people could make a good living.
"It is good to live on the lake embankment, and stay a long spring", people have the conditions to make a living, in order to make love. People were able to live well, so that the street survived for a longer time.
During the Tang Dynasty, Buddhism flourished, and The Buddhist temples in Suzhou were lined with incense and fire.
When Wei Yingwu was serving as the Assassin of Suzhou, he climbed the Chongxuan Temple Pavilion and looked at the ten miles of Wu County, the endless lakes and seas, and the beautiful mountains and rivers. At that time, Suzhou was prosperous and stable, which was very gratifying.
"I sincerely know the tiger," but he hated the long way back," he said, who was concerned about the people, and still deeply felt that the road of being an official was difficult and dangerous, and he did not know when it would be the way back. The Chongxuan Temple behind him, pure and solemn, Zen and quiet, is the state of mind he yearns for, so he often goes to the temple in Suzhou to burn incense and sit quietly.
Sometimes, we who are caught in various pressures and troubles always hope to find a moment of purity like Wei Yingwu.
Chongxuan Temple, a thousand-year-old temple, was built in the Southern and Northern Dynasties, underwent burning, reconstruction, and underwent changes in the world, and today it is still twilight drums and morning bells, wind chimes and birds.
Walking into the temple, the soft sunlight sprinkles, the towering ancient trees are full of greenery, and the Meditation Room is quiet and solemn. There are always cigarettes floating in the temple, which makes people feel at ease. Take a look at the clarity of the Buddha's light and unconsciously feel awe.
Even if you can't completely get rid of the troubles of entanglement, sit still for a while, and everything is silent, leaving only the sound of the bells and chanting. At this moment, no matter how impetuous the heart is, it will also calm down in an instant.
The literati of the Ming Dynasty, yearning for the Wei and Jin dynasties, hid in the comfort of natural landscapes and sought the convenience of the city. So they took the trouble and quiet, moved the mountains and forests to the city, built a garden, and also built a taoyuan, "There are no cars and horses in the people's land, and I believe that there are mountains and forests in the city." ”
At that time, Wang Xianchen was tired of the glitz and filth of the officialdom and resigned and returned to Suzhou. With the help of his friend Wen Zhengming, it took 16 years to build the Humble Administrator's Garden.
He pursues a simple and pure state of mind, and when he builds a garden, he emphasizes the wild interest of landscapes and rivers and the beauty of the four hours.

In winter, the snow fragrance clouds are pavilions, the shadows are oblique, and the dark incense floats. In the summer, in Xiangyuan Hall and Furong Pavilion, a pool of lotus flowers blooms, and the pavilion is purely planted, and the fragrance is overflowing. In autumn, go to the frost pavilion and see a red maple falling in your heart.
"Why should the heart be in the suburbs, the near garden clearly sees the distant feelings", Wen Zhengming said, there is a pursuit in the heart, why go to the distant suburbs, the garden in front of you is enough to make people feel the emotions.
For many people, it may be difficult to have a garden of their own, but when you walk into the Suzhou garden, see the changes in light and shadow, and the flowers and branches stretch, you can briefly have the state of mind of the garden and get a piece of the world of spiritual home.
Every year in the late spring, the plum rain in Jiangnan is pouring out and entangled, falling into the life of Jiangnan people and falling in the heart of the poet He Zhu.
He looked at the beautiful qianying, shanshan walked through the streets of Hengtang, did not know her residence, did not know who she spent her years with, wanted to go forward, but hesitated.
At this time, the feelings in He Zhu's heart were chaotic and unclear, just like the fluttering willows and the drizzle of rain. He stood in the endless smoke until the twilight was four, and suddenly woke up, and the beauty was gone.
Today, along the grassy path, towards Hengtang Station, it has lost the bustle of ancient times, has long been abandoned, and no one has stopped for it.
The prosperity of the past will no longer reappear, and the figure of the girl in the poem will not meet again, but fortunately, there is also the rain in Jiangnan, which is eternal.
When it rained in Hengtang, the plum rain was fine, the breeze was slight, the water surface was muddy, the people were ethereal, and there seemed to be a Jiangnan ink painting in front of the eyes.
Even as time passes, we are still here and can meet a rain. You know, in Suzhou to see the rain falling, the rain will also become romantic.

Everything in Suzhou tells people the word poetry, it is like a scale, fine fragments attached to the city, shining with moving light.
People walk into Suzhou again and again, perhaps because people want to feel the poetry again and again.
Poetry in this world, is that beautiful moment, may be in the eyes of a lover, in the paws of a cute cat, gazing at a dusk, the sound of the city's language street at night... Poetry makes our steps slow down involuntarily, our hearts become soft, and our smiles become deep.
Poetry, never far away, it is in the small things around us, always hidden in people's hearts.
I hope you and Poetry can meet again and again.
