According to the China Survey Corporation, as of the end of September this year, there were about 200 electric vehicle companies in China, of which 150 were born in the last three years. South Korea's JoongAng Daily reported that in the global electric vehicle battery market, China is making rapid leaps forward. China's electric vehicle market is growing rapidly, with most Chinese battery manufacturers doubling or more doubling their performance. The realistic scenario of the global electric vehicle battery market is: "Japan walking, running South Korea and flying China".
Since establishing sustainable development as a national strategy in the 1990s, China has been a staunch supporter and active practitioner of the concept of sustainable development. In recent years, in the face of the global energy crisis and the challenge of environmental pollution, China has stepped up its environmental exploration in the automotive field and vigorously promoted the development of new energy vehicles.
Driven by the dual carbon goal of "carbon peaking and carbon neutrality", China's new energy vehicles have handed over a report card of production and marketing. Since 2015, China's new energy vehicle production and sales have ranked first in the world for 6 consecutive years, and domestic brands have risen rapidly. From a global perspective, China's new energy automobile industry has entered the growth period from the cultivation period and has become an important force leading the transformation of the global automobile industry.
The rapid development of New Energy Vehicles in China is mainly due to the following two aspects:
First, core technical support. China's new energy vehicles continue to innovate in key areas such as batteries, motors, and electronic controls, the power battery industry chain is complete, and the level of battery technology ranks among the forefront of the world.
The second is government policy support. In recent years, the relevant departments of the state have issued a number of support policies, and in 2020, the State Council issued the "New Energy Vehicle Industry Development Plan (2021-2035)", which further clarified the development direction and greatly mobilized people's enthusiasm for supporting the development of the new energy vehicle industry.
According to data released by the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers a few days ago, the production and sales of new energy vehicles in China in the first 10 months of this year were 2.566 million units and 2.542 million units, respectively, an increase of 1.8 times year-on-year. According to the data released by the Association of Automobile Manufacturers, From January to October 2021, China's new energy vehicles accounted for 51% of the global share, of which 61% were as high as in October. New energy vehicles have become a new engine driving China's economic growth.
The rapid development of new energy vehicles is bound to bring many benefits to China:
The first is to promote the development of green economy. The use of new energy vehicles to travel is conducive to significantly reducing the intensity of carbon dioxide emissions and the level of pollutant emissions, which is of great benefit to national ecological construction and environmental improvement.
The second is to reduce oil dependence. Accelerating the development of the new energy automobile industry is an important way for China to reduce its dependence on foreign oil and maintain national energy security.
The third is to promote the development of related industries. The new energy automobile industry can not only promote the transformation and upgrading of China's manufacturing industry to the direction of automation and intelligence, but also drive the development of upstream and downstream industries such as the power battery industry and the charging pile industry.
At present, although China's new energy automobile industry has formed a certain competitive advantage in some fields, it is necessary to soberly realize that the development of new energy vehicles is still in a critical period of climbing over the hill.
In order to seize the opportunity to achieve "lane change and overtaking", China's new energy automobile industry must continue to exert efforts in many aspects in the future.
The first is to promote technological upgrading. Only by continuous innovation can we build core competitiveness. China's new energy vehicles should conform to the trend of modern network intelligence, continuously improve the intelligent data processing capabilities of automobiles on the basis of upgrading the original technology, and strive to provide people with a more intelligent and convenient travel experience.
The second is to promote integrated development. China's new energy vehicles should accelerate the construction of infrastructure such as charging and replacing electricity and hydrogenation, and at the same time promote the comprehensive and in-depth integration of automobiles with energy, transportation, and information and communication, promote the optimization of energy consumption structure, improve the transportation system and the level of urban intelligence, and build a new pattern of coordinated industrial development.
The third is to improve the user experience. China's new energy vehicles should further improve the standard and expand new functions to meet the needs of users according to market demand, especially user experience. Adhere to hard work, continue to create user value, so that new energy vehicles in the original foundation to a higher level.
The fourth is to expand the international market. China's new energy vehicles cannot just be "self-produced and sold". In the future, new energy vehicles should deepen international exchanges and cooperation in the fields of R&D and design, trade and investment, and technical standards, actively participate in the formulation of international standards and international market competition, and seek greater international discourse power and international market share.
