During this year's Olympic Games, the number of covid-19 infections in Japan increased sharply, and many Chinese Japanese infected with the new crown virus could not be admitted to the hospital, and there was also a lack of professional medical staff to guide home isolation.

Zhao Hong's son studied in Japan, when he saw many needs for epidemic prevention guidance in the international student group, he first thought of his mother, "My mother is a doctor, she will help fight the new crown!" ”

Therefore, Zhao Hong joined the WeChat group of confirmed patients established by the Japanese overseas Chinese group, using the evening and weekend rest time to provide voluntary help for overseas compatriots in need of help, most of these Chinese are mild patients, according to their physical condition, Zhao Hong gives one-on-one treatment guidance and patiently provides psychological counseling for them.

"Dr. Zhao, I had a little bit of heat yesterday at 5:30 p.m. and my head was a little uncomfortable." "It's hard to breathe, it's a cough, it's itchy throat, and you can't sleep." ...... After some overseas Chinese living in Japan developed symptoms such as fever and cough, it was inevitable that they would be anxious to take medicine, and Zhao Hong diagnosed the condition and answered questions for these overseas Chinese through "cloud consultation".

"Through communication, we found that they not only lack drugs, but more importantly, lack knowledge, lack experience, and lack confidence. Many people do not know what to do after being diagnosed. Our domestic doctors already have a lot of experience and are very willing to share their anti-epidemic experience. So in the group, I can not only help them analyze the condition, but also convey a kind of confidence and strength. Zhao Hong said.

In the nearly 100 days of "cloud consultation", Zhao Hong has gained a lot. She has helped 525 families in Japan survive the COVID-19 infection period and recover their health through home isolation treatment, helping more than 1,000 people.

One patient was admitted to the hospital after her diagnosis and gradually improved. "They came to the clinic as a family of three, and they didn't know what medicine to take." Zhao Hong said that after understanding the situation, she instructed the family to isolate at home, regularly measure body temperature, and maintain indoor ventilation.

A few days later, the family had a fever, but her mother's body temperature remained high. At zhao hong's suggestion, the mother went to the local hospital for treatment, found hypoxemia, and was treated by the local hospital after being diagnosed with new crown pneumonia. A month later, when Zhao Hong returned to visit again, the patient's condition had improved.

Under Zhao Hong's "cloud consultation", some mild patients have shown signs of improvement, and the originally tense atmosphere of the WeChat group is slowly soothing, looking at the number of people in the group, from the most than 500 people, gradually becoming less, which makes Zhao Hong feel very happy.

And this is not the first time that Zhao Hong has helped overseas Chinese.

In March last year, after the outbreak of the epidemic in Italy, 100 overseas Chinese in Venice, Italy, felt helpless and uneasy. Zhao Hong's husband, who works in the Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese in Anhui Province, learned of this situation and invited her to enter a WeChat group called "Anhui European Fellows" formed by the Chinese in Venice, Italy.

In the WeChat group, Zhao Hong carefully introduced the characteristics of the course of the disease in each period, and how to exert self-immunity in the early stage of prevention or infection, strengthen nutrition, rest well, and ensure the production of the body's autoimmune response function, so as to achieve the goal of safely surviving the epidemic period.

For more than a year, she has helped overseas Chinese throughout Japan, Italy, Greece, the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, Spain, the United Kingdom, the United States and other countries, answering various questions related to the new crown virus for local overseas Chinese, guiding them to deal with the home treatment of the new crown virus infection, helping them reduce psychological panic and enhance their confidence in defeating the disease.
