2021 marks the 40th anniversary of the world's first reported case of AIDS. In the past 40 years, medicine has continued to develop, and with the efforts of the whole society, AIDS has changed from a lethal disease to a preventable and controllable chronic infectious disease.
December 1 this year is the 34th "World AIDS Day", with the theme of "Life First, Ending AIDS, Health Equality", emphasizing the supremacy of people and life, co-construction, co-governance and sharing, working together to cope with the risks and challenges brought about by the epidemic, including AIDS, and to achieve the goal of prevention and treatment, ending AIDS and ending the disease pandemic.
During World AIDS Day, the Municipal Center for Disease Control and Prevention carried out a wealth of publicity and education activities. At the event site, through the placement of publicity display boards, hanging theme banners, distribution of publicity materials and condoms, the establishment of health consultation desks, the provision of free HIV screening, etc., to introduce the causes of AIDS and strene diseases, transmission routes, hazards and preventive measures to the general public, spread the concept of healthy behavior, improve the public's awareness of active prevention and protection ability. A total of more than 3,000 publicity materials, more than 150 posters, more than 800 condoms, more than 200 consultations, and 42 HIV screenings were distributed on the spot.

Through various publicity methods such as hanging up theme slogans, distributing publicity materials, and broadcasting AIDS propaganda films, enterprise workers, teachers and students of schools were comprehensively publicized and explained on AIDS, sexually transmitted diseases and reproductive health knowledge, so that they had a deeper understanding of the prevention and treatment of AIDS and sexually transmitted diseases. More than 450 workers and students were also screened for HIV antibodies at the event site.
Recently, the member units of the Serious Illness Committee and the medical and health units in the county have also actively broadcast publicity themes through LED display screens, using WeChat public accounts, entering enterprises into schools to carry out health lectures and other forms of vigorously publicizing the harmfulness of AIDS, transmission channels and other related knowledge, comprehensively popularizing prevention knowledge and civilized and healthy lifestyles, guiding the masses to develop good habits of regular testing, and forming a healthy life atmosphere.
