See the letter as you see. I don't know what special significance this Christmas has for you, thinking that this year's master's degree admissions exam is on this day, if so, I wish you a smooth and successful exam ashore in advance! And, of course, Merry Christmas!

Christmas is followed by New Year's Day, and after New Year's Day is the New Year. Day after day, year after year, time itself does not mean much, between 2022 and 2021 only the second hand crossed 12, how can the world happen to what qualitative changes? But we always like to set up one festival after another, giving a sense of time and ritual that goes back and forth.

In my opinion, there are probably the following reasons: a holiday such as Christmas and New Year's Day, always with a carnival color, can allow us to withdraw from the daily mediocre life, provide a proper time to meet with relatives and friends, give each other gifts, care for each other, but also give ourselves a legitimate reason to return to themselves, indulge in rest, eat and drink;

Second, such a day, is another node of resignation and new, let us look back on the past, look forward to the future, like a wake-up call on the brain door, long-term tiredness, academic frustration, frustration in love, grievances in friendship, all to this end, now in front of us, is an opportunity to start from scratch;

Finally, every festival is like a small coordinate inserted in our long life journey, every time we get to a coordinate, we can take a break and say to ourselves, hard work, the next journey to continue to work hard! Think of the chicken soup story I often heard when I was a child: a child has to run 20 kilometers, the first time he is full of confidence on the road, but the more he runs, the more discouraged, the end point seems to be far away, every step taken is like a cup of water for the whole 20 kilometers, less than halfway he chose to give up. The second time, it was still the 20 km distance, just a small flag was planted every 5 km, and when he was breathless and exhausted, he saw the small flag flying in front of him, so he thought, at least run these 5 km. After running past the first flag, he saw the second flag again, and he thought that the second flag did not look too far away, maybe he could try it. In this way, he ran all the way to the finish line.

The same seems to be true of the meaning of the festival for us. If you think about it, it seems difficult to spend 60 years of such diligence and diligence, but it is not too difficult to work hard before Christmas! After Christmas, it will soon be New Year's Day, so these days can add a little more energy; after New Year's Day, the Spring Festival has become a new hope.

Although the coming year may not be better, it must be good to have expectations!
