In ancient times, there was a person with good academic attainments, who heard that there was an old Zen master with advanced Buddhist skills in the temple on the mountain, so he went to ask for advice.
When the old Zen master's apprentice entertained him, his attitude was very arrogant and arrogant. Later the old Zen master received him politely and made tea for him. But when pouring the tea, it was obvious that the cup was full and began to overflow, and the old Zen master kept pouring it.
Puzzled, he asked, "Master, the cup is full, so why pour it in?" The master smiled and replied, "Yes, since it is full, why do you still have to pour it?" ”
In fact, another meaning of the old Zen master is: "If you already feel that you are very knowledgeable, there is no need to come to me for advice." The visitor was ashamed and quickly apologized.
Not arrogant, empty your heart, put down the past glory, unload unnecessary things, in order to accommodate new things.
As the saying goes: "The ignorant are fearless, and those who know are deeply afraid." ”
Ignorance is not terrible, what is terrible is arrogance. I thought I knew everything, but I didn't know that what I knew was only the tip of the iceberg.

During the Three Kingdoms period, Emperor Ming of Wei died, and Sima Yi and Cao Shuang assisted in the administration. At first, Cao Shuang was respectful to Sima Yi.
However, after a long time, Cao Shuang became resentful and tried to exclude Sima Yi, and asked the Wei lord Cao Fang to make Sima Yi a taifu at the court. It seems that he was promoted to a knight, but in fact he deprived Sima Yi of his military power.
After that, the military power of the State of Wei was controlled by Cao Shuang alone. Sima Yi did not confront Cao Shuang head-on, and in order to temporarily preserve his strength, he lied that he was sick and went home to recuperate.
Cao Shuang heard that Sima Yi was seriously ill, which was exactly what he wanted, and he drank wine every day, but he was not at ease, afraid that Sima Yi would pretend to be ill, so he took advantage of the opportunity of his close confidant Li Sheng to go out and ordered him to borrow the reason for his resignation and explore the truth.
Sima Yi understood Li Sheng's intentions and actively cooperated to pretend to be confused. After Li Sheng reported the situation, Cao Shuang was very happy and said, "Sima Yi can no longer play any role, so I will sit back and relax!" ”
Later, Cao Shuang relaxed his vigilance, and Sima Yi stepped up his planning, taking advantage of Cao Shuang's lack of preparation to launch a mutiny, killing Cao Shuang and his henchmen, and monopolizing power in the DPRK.
As the saying goes: "The strong show weakness, and the weak are strong." ”
The really strong know how to show weakness, and the weak will be strong and do things that are not sure.
