According to the announcement, in the third quarter of 2021, same-store sales fell by 11.3%, and the operating profit was RMB62 million. For the nine months ended September 30, 2021, same-store sales increased by 12.3%, operating profit increased by 43.6% compared to the same period last year to RMB309 million, and loss attributable to owners of the parent company was RMB42.9 million.
In addition, in the third quarter of 2021, Parkson Group recorded unaudited sales proceeds totaling RMB2,571 million and for the nine months ended 30 September 2021, total sales proceeds recorded were RMB8,825 million, representing a decrease of 10.9% and an increase of 13.4% respectively compared to the same period in 2020. The change in the total amount of sales proceeds is due to a change in same-store sales.
It is also reported that Parkson Group's total operating income decreased by 10% to RMB1,042 million in the third quarter of 2021 compared with the same period last year, and increased by 13% to RMB3,528 million for the nine months ended 30 September 2021 compared with the same period in 2020. The change in total operating income was mainly due to the change in revenue from customer contracts, which accounted for 80.6% of total operating income. In the third quarter of 2021, operating profit was RMB62 million. For the nine months ended September 30, 2021, its operating profit increased by 43.6% compared to the same period last year to RMB309 million.
