Talking about ancient literature and music

In ancient China, whether it was a sacrifice or a feast, it was inseparable from music. Looking back at ancient Chinese music, the simple folk songs of the pre-Qin period, the music songs of the Han Dynasty, the singing in the Tang and Song Dynasties, and then the operas of the Yuan and Ming Dynasties, the Qing Shang Music, all of which are closely related to ancient Chinese culture. Therefore, understanding ancient Chinese music and learning ancient poetry are inseparable.

Jiang Fan is a professor of the Department of Chinese of Fudan University in Shanghai, an advisor to the Ancient Chinese Literature Theory Society, and a standing director of the Chinese Wenxin Carved Dragon Research Society.
