The play began rehearsals in August, when the show was officially established, and lasted more than three months, with the main creative team and actors working day after day, with almost no rest, to create, design and rehearse. Composer Wu Shaoxiong said that the China Coal Mine Cultural and Labor Troupe has many outstanding singers, and in the annual assessment of the troupe, he listened to the actors' singing and was full of confidence in the completion of the musical.
