On May 27, 2014, at 9:00 a.m., the trial was held in public at the Chaoyang District People's Court of Beijing Municipality in accordance with law. About 10 minutes after the trial, the Chaoyang Court posted a message on Weibo that Li Daimo voluntarily confessed guilt in court.

The court held that the facts of the public prosecution's allegations were clear, the evidence was indeed sufficient, and the charges were established; the court held that Li Daimo took the initiative to confess the facts of the crime, and had a good attitude of admitting guilt, and gave him a lighter punishment, sentencing him to nine months and a fine of 2,000 yuan. Li Daimo said in court that he would not appeal.
