Today, the China Cultural Heritage Exchange Center held the 2023 National Museum (Exhibition) Overseas Influence Boutique Case Exchange Conference in Chengdu, and released the "2023 National Museum (Exhibition) Overseas Influence Assessment Report", and the Jinsha Site Museum ranked among the top 20 in the country.

It is also understood that the "Splendid Western Regions and the Same Wind - Xinjiang Silk Road Culture Special Exhibition" hosted by the Jinsha Site Museum has been recommended by the State Administration of Cultural Heritage and the Cyberspace Administration of the People's Republic of China, and has been selected for the 2024 "Reading China in the Museum - Promoting the Excellent Traditional Chinese Culture and Cultivating the Core Values of Socialism" theme exhibition. The exhibition will be held at the Jinsha Site Museum on May 28.

In addition, at the 2024 International Museum Day in Sichuan and Chongqing, Sands won six awards, including the "Top 10 Exhibitions" of the Sichuan Provincial Museum.

Overseas influence: top 20 in China

The "2023 National Museum (Exhibition) Overseas Influence Assessment Report" (hereinafter referred to as the evaluation report) is selected by the China Cultural Heritage Exchange Center, cultural relics exchange think tank, Oriental Outlook Weekly, Chinese Academy of Sciences Think Tank Research Institute and other cultural and museum think tank research institutions, based on overseas mainstream media, overseas social platforms, academic searches, museum magazines, search engines and other channels and methods, from the dimensions of scientific research influence, cultural service ability, exhibition innovation ability, media communication power and other dimensions. Finally, the top 100 general list and the top 10 lists of four sub-lists, including comprehensive categories, cultural relics and historic sites, special categories and revolutionary memorial museums, were selected.

According to the evaluation report, as the only museum selected in Chengdu, Jinsha Site Museum and Sanxingdui Museum jointly ranked among the top 20 museums (exhibitions) in China with overseas influence. Sanxingdui and Jinsha ruins are "popular and hot", showing the strong transmission and radiation of the ancient Shu civilization. In addition, in the list of overseas influence of cultural relics and monuments museums, Jinsha Site Museum ranks fourth in the country.

From 27 September 2023 to 8 January 2024, under the guidance of the National Heritage Administration, the Sichuan Provincial People's Government, the Culture, Sports and Tourism Bureau of the Hong Kong SAR Government, and supported by the Chinese Cultural Heritage Exchange Association, the Sichuan Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism, the Sichuan Provincial Cultural Heritage Bureau, and the West Kowloon Cultural District Authority, Sichuan Guanghan Sanxingdui Museum, Chengdu Jinsha Site Museum, Sichuan Provincial Institute of Cultural Relics and Archaeology, Chengdu Institute of Cultural Relics and Archaeology and Hong Kong Palace Museum, co-organised "Gazing at Sanxingdui: New Archaeological Discoveries in Sichuan" The exhibition was held at the Hong Kong Palace Museum. 120 pieces of Sanxingdui, Jinsha and Baodun sites unearthed from the Chengdu Plain, 4,500 to 2,600 years ago bronzes, jade, gold and pottery and other precious cultural relics, including 18 precious cultural relics from the Jinsha Site Museum, together present the exquisite material culture and spiritual life of the ancient Shu ancestors, as well as the brilliant artistic achievements. This is also the third time that the cultural relics from the Jinsha Site Museum have gone from the land of abundance to the Pearl of the Orient and meet the Hong Kong audience. The exhibition received more than 170,000 visitors, setting a new record for the Hong Kong Palace Museum since its establishment.

In addition, the Jinsha Site Museum will make full use of the favorable opportunity of the 2023 Chengdu Universiade to expand the international dissemination of the ancient Shu civilization. On the one hand, Sands has joined hands with 31 cultural and museum institutions in Southwest China to launch the "Jijin Wanli - Bronze Civilization Exhibition in Southwest China", and has tailored "N supporting services" such as international academic seminars, series of academic lectures, online exhibition halls, exhibition catalogues and a series of themed activities, and implemented more than 2,600 activities. As a key exhibition project of the 31st Universiade, the exhibition attracted 1.13 million visitors and more than 3,200 online participants. Curators and scholars from the Quai Branly Museum in France, the Uffizi Museum in Italy, the Asian Art Museum in San Francisco, the Minneponian Museum in the United States, the President of the Federation of University Sports Unions, envoys from various countries in China, and athletes from the Universiade have come to visit the exhibition. At present, a number of domestic cultural and museum institutions and foreign institutions such as the Asian Art Museum of San Francisco and the Bower Museum have expressed their hope to introduce exhibitions, which has created a good opportunity for extending the follow-up influence of the exhibition, revitalizing the excellent cultural relics resources in the southwest region, and boosting the excellent traditional Chinese culture on the international stage.

On the other hand, the Jinsha Site Museum also carried out the "Universiade Jinsha" financial media publicity project during the preparation and holding of the Universiade. Through in-depth excavation of the modern expression of Jinsha culture in the Chengdu Universiade, we will tell the cross-border stories of archaeological sites and international events, and spread the excitement of ancient Shu culture to the world from all angles. The "Universiade Sands" financial media publicity project has been distributed and disseminated more than 10 billion yuan on the whole network, with a total of 170 million interactions and 9.14 million likes, which fully demonstrates the wonderful collision between the ancient Shu civilization and the modern sports spirit, builds a bridge for cultural exchanges and mutual learning, and makes the ancient Shu civilization deeply rooted in the hearts of the people.

At the meeting, researcher Wang Fang, deputy director of Jinsha Site Museum, made an exchange speech. She said that rooted in the similar spiritual beliefs between the ancient Shu civilization and the ancient civilization of the world, in recent years, Jinsha is building a "circle of friends" in ancient Shu around the world, and has signed cooperation agreements with more than 10 museums and institutions in the United States, Japan, Austria, Australia, Mexico and other countries to carry out long-term and in-depth cooperation with ancient civilization research, exchange and exhibition.

It is understood that since 2015, the Jinsha Site Museum has been actively trying to "bring in" - regularly holding world-class blockbuster exhibitions every year, from the glory of ancient Rome to the glory of ancient Egypt, from the eternal Pompeii to the ancient Syria at the beginning of civilization, from the treasures of the British V&A Museum to the Inca cultural relics of 14 museums in Peru...... Lead the public to appreciate the splendor of world civilization. At the same time, the museum also actively carries out "going out", such as the "Sanxingdui: The World of Man and God - Sichuan Ancient Shu Civilization Special Exhibition" in 2019, which is the first major cultural exchange project after the high-level exchange of visits between China and Italy, and won the National Top Ten Exhibition Excellence Award and the International and Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan Cooperation Award that year.

Wang Fang said that in the future, the Jinsha Site Museum will summarize and judge the experience and rules of communication, enhance the depth and breadth of Jinsha's overseas communication, and provide valuable reference for the next step of international exchanges and cooperation.

Provincial awards: Six awards show strength

The phenomenal exhibition and the unabated popularity of research activities have made the popularity of the museum more three-dimensional and diverse. The "Jijin Wanli - Bronze Civilization Exhibition in Southwest China" of the Jinsha Site Museum, which was specially mentioned in the report, presented a gluttonous feast of bronzes in southwest China for the audience.
