Sun Jihai (born 30 September 1977) is a Chinese former footballer who played in the English Premier League. He is one of the most famous footballers in China. In October 2002, he scored a goal for Manchester City, becoming the first East Asian footballer to score in the Premier League and the first Chinese footballer to score in the UEFA Cup.
2. Fan Zhiyi

Fan Zhiyi (born November 6, 1969) is a Chinese coach and former international footballer. He has played as a defender for Shanghai Shenhua, Crystal Palace, Dundee, Shanghai International, Cardiff City, Buller Rovers and Shanghai Zhongbang. When he joined Crystal Palace and became the first Chinese footballer to play in the English league, he was considered a trailblazer for his homeland. In 1998, he continued to represent the Chinese national team in the 2002 World Cup. He has since become a football coach and made his first tenure as head coach in Shanghai East Asia.

5. Zhang Zhide

Cheung Chi Tak is a former professional footballer from Hong Kong, China. He started his career in Hong Kong and in England he also played for England side Blackpool. Cheung is the first Asian footballer and Hong Kong player to play in Europe. At the age of 14, he began his career in the Hong Kong First Division. In 1960 he moved to England club Blackpool, where he was a team-mate of Jimmy Armfield. He became the first player of Chinese descent to appear in the top flight of English football.
6. Liu Haiguang

Liu Haiguang (born 11 July 1963 in Shanghai) is a former Chinese national footballer who played for Shanghai for most of his career, but he was honoured after joining FK Yugoslavia, and along with Jia Xiuquan, he became one of the first Chinese footballers to play in Europe.

As a footballer, he played as a midfielder and spent his entire career at Dalian Wanda Football Club, winning eight league titles and three Chinese FA Cups. Between 1992 and 2004, he made 86 appearances for the Chinese national team and scored eight goals. He represented the national team in four AFC Asian Cups, helping the team to a third-place finish in 1992.

As a player, he played for Liaoning Hongyun and Shandong Luneng in the Chinese Super League and was loaned to Ligue 1 club Nancy for a season. He is also currently the top scorer in the history of the Chinese professional league, and has won the Golden Boot three times in the process.
10. Zheng Bin

Zheng Bin (born 4 July 1977) is a Chinese football coach who has served as a left midfielder or striker. As a player, he has represented Shenzhen Jianlibao, Wuhan Yellow Crane Tower and Wuhan Zall and in international competitions, he represented the Chinese national team in the 2004 AFC Asian Cup. After retiring from the sport, he moved into management and secured his first head coaching position at Wuhan Zall.
