On the afternoon of May 10, the Digital Education Teaching Ability Improvement and Public Management Large Model Training Wild Goose Array Program (Phase 3) and the School of Public Administration Teacher Teaching Ability Improvement Workshop (Phase 9) "Exploration of the Application of Smart Large Model Education Industry" were successfully held in Conference Room 4308 of Yanshan Campus. Tan Chengxuan, Director of Baidu Intelligent Cloud Education Industry, Chen Jianwei, Regional Solution Director, Meng Xiao, Regional Education Sales Director, Li Yawei, Deputy Director of the Academic Affairs Office of the school, Zhang Hongqi, Secretary of the Party Committee of the College, Jia Haiyan, Dean of the College, Xu Wei, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, and representatives of teachers and students of the College attended the seminar. The meeting was chaired by Vice President Luo Wei.
At the beginning of the meeting, Jia Haiyan delivered an enthusiastic speech. She extended a warm welcome to the Baidu team of experts and introduced them to the school and college. The school and the doctoral program of the first-level discipline of management science and engineering jointly established the interdisciplinary doctoral program of "public policy and management", and has a relatively solid foundation for discipline construction and talent training of the integration of arts and sciences majors, common teachers, and joint practice of industry and education. It is expected that in the future, relying on the "421" action plan of the school's artificial intelligence empowerment education and teaching and the college's public management large model training goose array plan, we will carry out in-depth cooperation with Baidu Intelligent Cloud, realize the close integration of generative artificial intelligence and public management teaching and scientific research scenarios as soon as possible, and jointly explore a new paradigm of industry-university-research platform that is open to each other in terms of curriculum, scientific research data, training projects, training, talent certification, and joint technical research.
Tan Chengxuan brought a wonderful special report to teachers and students with the title of "Large Model Innovative AI Industry Application, Cloud Intelligence Integrated Service Talent Training". He elaborated on the basic architecture of Baidu's AI (Artificial Intelligence) and the case of AIGC (Artificial Intelligence Generative Content) empowering the industry. In particular, through a wealth of cases, it shows the achievements of Baidu in the cultivation of intelligent cloud service talents and the possible areas of in-depth cooperation, including campus intelligent management, AIGC professional (direction) talent training, AIGC+ curriculum development, AI-empowered teaching and scientific research, and education integration model innovation, which aroused great interest from teachers and students present.
In the ensuing interactive session, the teachers and students showed a high level of enthusiasm for participation. Combined with the school's "421" action plan, Li Yawei had in-depth exchanges with Baidu experts on topics such as the opening of artificial intelligence general education courses and technical challenges. In addition, some faculty representatives also had a detailed discussion with Baidu experts on the specific application of large models in scientific research.
The seminar provided an opportunity for teachers and students of the college to learn and communicate face-to-face with high-level experts in the field of large models, and stimulated everyone's strong interest in the application of large models in teaching, scientific research, and talent training.
