Breitling is based on the Superocean Automatic 36 mm Automatic 36 mm and follows the minimalist aesthetic and design language of "Slow Motion" from the 1960s to 1970s to present a North American limited edition (Model: U173771A1A1S1).
The new watch has a diameter of 36 mm and a thickness of 12.21 mm. The case is made of stainless steel, with an anti-reflective sapphire crystal on both sides and a closed caseback, making it water-resistant to 300 meters. The whole watch is decorated in white and gold, which is refreshing and pleasant.
The ratcheted unidirectional bezel is easy to grip and adjust, while the screw-down crown is fitted with double gaskets, both of which are crafted from 18-carat red gold, which contrasts harmoniously with the white dial, white ceramic inserts and white rubber strap. The scratch-resistant ceramic-encrusted bezel is marked with a gold 60-minute diving scale that will not wear or fade.
In addition, the name "SuperOcean" above 6 o'clock, the "B" logo below 12 o'clock, and the tip of the central seconds hand are also decorated in gold. The large hands and indexes, together with the dot markers on the bezel, are coated with white Super-LumiNova®, which glows blue in the dark for legibility.
The closed caseback is engraved with the words "LIMITED EDITION" and "ONE OF 200" and houses the Breitling Caliber 17 automatic movement. It has 26 jewels, a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour (4 Hz) and a power reserve of 38 hours.
